  1. Explanations, explanations, dozens of them...Will there ever be some objective explanation? Is there some objective, official explanation for the Great Depression? No. Everybody believes what he wants to believe and will believe till end of days. So are we going to take lecture from this situation? Are we going to buy some wisdom for the spent billions? No, no and no...

  2. "Is there some objective, official explanation for the Great Depression?" There was a great deal of speculation on margins that contributed the the Great Depression.
    The main lesson to take from the "Great" depression, is that poor government policy can exacerbate any depression, lengthening it and making it worse than doing nothing at all.
