First they came for the cigarette smokers, and I did not speak out - because I was not a smoker.
Then they came for the popcorn butter and trans fats, and I did not speak out - because I was not a regular movie goer;
Then they came for the tanning salons, and I did not speak out - because I was a pasty white American;
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak out for me, because all the fat, tan smokers were standing outside having a cigarette!

For all of you purists, the original:

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak out for me.
