The Amazing NAACP Racist Tea Party Smear Vanishing Act

by the Left Coast Rebel

After chasing RightKlik and Conservative Generation's excellent Think Progress/racist Tea Party smackdown, I almost missed something just as important.

It seems that the powers that be, in the leftist NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Collectivist-Progressives), are getting a little queasy over their resolution castigating the entire Tea Party movement as 'racist.'

Politico reports:

NAACP President Ben Jealous said Thursday that the resolution passed by the group on Wednesday does not call the tea party “racist.”

The resolution the NAACP approved Wednesday at its annual conference in Kansas City alleges that the tea party has used racial epithets against President Barack Obama and has verbally and physically abused African-American members of Congress.

A portion of the resolution does indeed characterize the behavior as “racist,” but Jealous said Thursday during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that the resolution was not intended to condemn the entire movement as such.

“We aren’t saying that the tea party is racist,” Jealous said. “What we’re saying is that with their increasing power comes an increasing responsibility to act responsibly…and to call out when they see those things on those signs.”

Jealous argued that racist groups have embraced the tea party movement and said that what the NAACP would like to see one of the movements leaders – whether it be former House Majority Leader Dick Armey or former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin – denounce those elements of the tea party.

“These sort of KKK type groups saying they like the tea party and want to be a part of it, it would just seem someone would call out and say we don’t want them to be a part of it,” he said.

Asked if he thought members of the tea party are racially insensitive, Jealous responded: “No, not at all.”

Interesting, could it be that this the NAACP has bitten off more than it can chew this time? For once perhaps, they are reaping what they sow. Unlike the GOP hierarchy, we in the Tea Party movement are ready and willing to call them out on their race-pimping lies.

Almost forgot - the National Association for the Advancement of Collectivist-Progressives (of color) also is doing it's best to scrub the 'racist Tea Party' resolution and not posting it online.

NAACP - courage of their convictions!

Perhaps they have learned a lesson - if you can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the (race-baiting) kitchen.

UPDATED: I don't like posting without a graphic. This one is funny:

Exit question - is America waking up to the toxic alliances that the Democrat party has to groups that were once respected but now home to radical, fringe leftists? This isn't your grandfather's Democrat party any more....

  1. In trying to paint the Tea Party as a "white, Republican" organization, the Left forgets that all the minority and every Democrat member of the Tea Party (and their neighbors) know who they are and will only be that much more incensed at the lies the Left tells!

  2. Good. But let's not let our guard down. As we get closer to the election, the Dem statists will get increasingly desperate.
