Carl Gardner, lead singer for the Coasters has died of heart failure at age 83. Known for hits like Poison Ivy, Yakety Yak, Charlie Brown and others, the Coasters were a part of the soundtrack of my life growing up. Rest in peace, Mr. Gardner

I loved those guys and knew the words to all the songs.
Very sorry to hear he's gone. Hope he had a good life.
Sad to say, but he suffered from Alzheimer's in his later years. Hopefully, he is in a better place now.
