Billboard Porn in Northern California?

AUBURN—

A woman in a bikini is not considered inappropriate, but some have concern about a ten-foot tall blonde in a white swimsuit in Auburn. And now the offending billboard has been replaced.

The woman is promoting California Sun, tanning salons around the Sacramento area. But Thursday morning, her image was covered up by a black tarp spray-painted with the words “no porn in our town”.

The billboard in question? This one:

Much ado about very little.

Which reminds me of an old country song...

Wow what a girl wearin' nothin' but a smile and a towel
In the picture on the billboard in the field near the big old highway
I bet it wouldn't take her long to be gone
If someone would pull a dirty trick and take her towel away
I slow my Jimmy down to twenty that's how many wrecks I see there every day
Caused by the girl wearin' nothin' but a smile and a towel
In the picture on the billboard in the field near the big old highway

  1. It's not the sign that is the problem. It's what Anthony Weiner does while looking at it.

  2. Poor Tony! The butt of jokes for years to come!
    (At least one pun intended.)

  3. Pretty tame relative to what you might find on any given magazine cover.

On the other hand, tanning beds are evil.

    Verdict: the sign is evil

  4. Yeah, that's pretty tame compared to a lot of stuff today...

Maybe they thought the woman was a porn star. It does look like Paris Hilton...

  5. SF: You mention Paris Hilton, this is tamer than the burger ad she did for TV.

RK: The Democrats already imposed new taxes on tanning beds (which is discriminatory to Persons of Pallor), so they must agree with to as to their evilness.

  7. Perhaps it was on the steep grade part of I-80 coming down from the mountains before Auburn(if my memory is correct, its been a while since I lived in Reno)and were worried about driving while drinking, sexting, flashing, cell phones etc. Cuz the bill board is pretty tame for a Hilton lookalike...

  8. "driving while drinking, sexting, flashing, cell phones etc" Add putting on make up and you were the typical California driver!
