Quote du jour

If the US Government was a family, they would be making $58,000 a year, they spend $75,000 a year, & are $327,000 in credit card debt. They are currently proposing BIG spending cuts to reduce their spending to $72,000 a year. These are the actual proportions of the federal budget & debt, reduced to a level that we can understand.

  1. That's typical of our government. As long as you are spending less than you were, never mind that it is still more than you take in, then everything is fine. We have reduced spending!!

  2. I really thought these "baseline accounting" tricks went out in the nineties. Instead of buying an $800,000 luxury sports car, I'll buy a $60,000 Range Rover and "save" $740,000!

That's some serious budget cutting, my friend!
