"A Snarky Guide To The Differences Between Christmas And Hanukkah"

Jeff Dunetz has a great piece over at The Lid: "A Snarky Guide To The Differences Between Christmas And Hanukkah", which prompted me to add my own little bit of snark.

Jeff: I enjoyed your comparison of Christmas & Hanukkah. One difference you did not note, is the ability of Christmas to absorb elements of other cultures and assimilate them, much like the Borg of Holidays.
Christmas has absorbed the feast of Saturnalia, the tannenbaums of Germany, St. Nicholas of Patra, the wassails of Great Britain, Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole, a reindeer song written for Montgomery Ward, Elmo and Patsy's vehicular homicide and Die Hard. And don't get me started about that drummer boy!

Resistance is futile.
