Obama Turns Up the Heat in Washington

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Will Obama be remembered for the little hypocrisies or just the big ones?
(The shiny head on the left is Joe Biden!)

Literally, more than figuratively!

NYT: WASHINGTON — The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.
“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”

Thus did an ironclad rule of the George W. Bush administration — coat and tie in the Oval Office at all times — fall by the wayside, only the first of many signs that a more informal culture is growing up in the White House under new management. Mr. Obama promised to bring change to Washington and he has — not just in substance, but in presidential style.

Although his presidency is barely a week old, some of Mr. Obama’s work habits are already becoming clear. He shows up at the Oval Office shortly before 9 in the morning, roughly two hours later than his early-to-bed, early-to-rise predecessor

So, the same guy that told the rest of us that we couldn't drive our SUVs whenever we wanted or " keep our homes on, you know, 72 degrees at all times", keeps his office (when he finally rolls into it) warm enough "to grow orchids"? Man! Even the incompetent Carter wore a sweater to show some solidarity (and leadership) with the huddled masses!

"Do as I say, not as I do" is the hopey change mantra for today!

  1. He said what he said to get elected. There were many signs of his lying tendencies but the people refused to believe them. He said he wouldn't take funding for the election; he did. If he took funding, his eligibility would have been checked, not so if he refused it.

See and on an apparent doctored or fabricated Selective Service registration. Impeachment is possible for a deceiving person who fraudulently misrepresented himself for the purposes of getting control of the government. Only turning to God's will can save us.

  2. Two comments. First, in response to Axelrod's comment "“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.? He likes it warm.”

Um, he was from Hawaii decades ago. He's been in freezing Chicago for years. Wasn't President Golden Calf just the other day mocking D.C. schools for closing because of the ice and snow? What kind of morons does Axelrod think we are?

Second, may I remind President Golden Calf of something he said to a group of eco-freaks in Oregon back in May:

"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK."

This is nothing less than "Do As I Say, Not As I Do." And it's something liberals/Democrats do as easily and as often as breathing.

I am so sick of these freaking hypocrites.
