Insanity at the Department of Homeland (In)Security

If you see this woman, speak in quiet, soothing tones and notify the authorities.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said that the thwarting of the attempt to blow up the Amsterdam-Detroit flight this week demonstrated that "the system worked."

So, someone smuggles a bomb onto an aircraft heading to the United States, and you want to claim that the system worked???

Asked by CNN's Candy Crowley on "State of the Union" how that could be possible when the young Nigerian who sought to set off the bomb was able to smuggle explosive liquid onto the flight, Napolitano responded: "We're asking the same questions."
Ah! So, that's how the system works! You ask questions after the next catastrophe!

Napolitano added that there was "no suggestion that [the bomber] was improperly screened."
So, the system "worked" because the failure came after a "proper screening"? Yeah. Right!

The Alice in Wonderland approach to national security is not working out so well. Amateur hour continues apace at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

  1. I heard she said that and was absolutely shocked at just how stupid a person can be!

I would expect a statement like that from Joe Biden and even let it slide as the V.P. really doesn't do anything (at least this one). But this bimbo is head of Homeland Security!

Putting all politics aside, does this dimwit actually believe this?

The damn thing could have blown up over my house!!!!! Yes, I live in my "homeland" of Michigan and see the "system" as failing. People,NOT the government prevented a disaster after the government FAILED.
