Quote du jour

“We had an administration which was not focused, as it should be, on terrorism and that’s understandable. They were focused on health care and global warming and the economy. That’s very understandable. Secondly, we weren’t really focused on Yemen and the terrible things that are happening there. Now we are and that’s a good thing. And, thirdly, there were holes obviously and the [intelligence gathering] system wasn’t working well. We found out it wasn’t working well and the president understands it’s not working well and now we’re focused on fixing it.”

-Tom Kean, Chairman 9/11 Commission

  1. The attitudes of the president filter down to all agencies and his attitude from the beginning until now is that terrorism is a criminal matter and there is no such thing as a war on terror. He still will not use the term "Islamic terrorist", and until that time the agencies under him will not take this thing as seriously as they should.

  2. You can't fight it if you can't even name it!(I heard that somewhere!)
