"The Scott Heard 'Round the World!"

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Well, it looks like it's all over but the shouting! Scott Brown has defeated Martha Coakley for the office of US Senator from Massachusetts. Even President Obama called to congratulate Senator-elect Brown.

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote of the beginning of the war for America's liberty:
By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world.

In Massachusetts, embattled citizens may have fired the first shot in the reclamation of that liberty!
