Convicted Felon, Inmate #11593-051 Gets 42% in West Virginia Democrat Primary

Four out of ten Democrats in West Virginia voted for a convicted prison inmate for President, over Barack Obama. A less talented headline writer might have said something like “West Virginia Dems No Likee Socialist Job-Killing President Job Killer”.
The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. Voters in other states showed their displeasure with Obama in Democratic primaries last March. In Oklahoma, anti-abortion protestor Randall Terry got 18 percent of the primary vote. A lawyer from Tennessee, John Wolfe, pulled nearly 18,000 votes in the Louisiana primary.

For an incumbent President, running virtually unopposed, to lose 42% of the vote in a state primary to a virtual unknown, is, among Barack’s many, many accomplishments, again… unprecedented. Maybe something about putting the coal industry out of business had something to do with it?

The tepid response to Barack’s campaign kickoff in Ohio, the number of Democrats who are indicating they would vote for Anyone But Obama, ought to send a shiver of fear through the delegates of the upcoming Democrat convention. Of course, for anyone to oppose a seated black President is… unprecedented. I have attempted to save the Democrat party from itself, by suggesting they nominate someone stronger in foreign policy and perhaps a more attractive candidate. When 42% of Democrats in your state vote for a convicted criminal, this could be virtually anyone! Maybe Obama could grow his own mullet between now and November?

Whether or not the Dems awaken from the Hope and Change stupor of 2008, and see the incumbent's campaign as a mere rehashing of the same tired ideas that haven't worked for the last four years, is doubtful.

When the lemmings shout "Forward!" at the brink of the abyss, who is there to stop them?
