Just got back from the Sacramento Tax Day Tea Party (and dinner with my sister) and downloaded my pictures into the computer. There's about 60 of them...crowds, people, signs, security and a private plane flyover.
Saw some of the news footage tonight, taken by helicopter late in the afternoon, after much of the crowd had already left. AP low balls the attendance at 2000. I heard one estimate up to 10,000. I think the actual figure was in between, but certainly closer to 10 than 2!
I'm going to see if I can find any video of the event. Especially good were radio talk show host Roger Hedgecock and film maker Ann McElhinney, of Not Evil Just Wrong fame. Though not (yet) an American citizen, Ann shows a great affinity for America in general, California in particular and freedom. (Not necessarily in that order!)
