Hollywood Went to War

Forty third in our series Hollywood Went to War are Jonathan Winters and Walter Brennan.

During his senior year at Springfield High School, Winters quit school to join the U.S. Marine Corps and served two and a half years in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

Brennan enlisted in the United States Army and served as a private with the 101st Field Artillery Regiment in France during World War I.


Gentlemen, we salute you and thank you for your service to our country. Rest in peace.
