Government Plot Laid Bare – Strips Bikini Ban from Public Pool

In the town of Kanab Utah, if’n you wanted to go down to the Cowboy Water'n Hole, to go for a swim, you’d best leave your bikini in the locker room. Let me rephrase that!
The city council had banned bikinis at the town’s public swimming pool. However, public pressure (read: ridicule) is causing them to reconsider.

KANAB, Utah (AP) -- A ban on bikinis at the city pool is expected to be revised, ending a short-lived prohibition on the popular two-piece pool attire. But that does not mean that lifting the G-rating is going to lead to poolside G-strings.
"My recommendation is going to be no thongs or string bikinis," said City Councilwoman Nina Laycook, who called the original dress code an oversight.

Oversight. I’m sure there’s an ogling joke in there somewhere!

…But the publicity that the ban received may linger for the city like a bad sunburn.
The restrictions were not popular, even in the community where the council passed a resolution in 2006 to favor the "natural family" consisting of a working husband, a stay-at-home wife and a "full quiver of children."

Hmm. I’m thinking these folks are conservatives!

Perhaps, like the mythical island of Jay Ward and Bill Scott, they should be glad they don’t live on No Bikini Atoll ! Heh.
And despite what you might think, I search diligently through story after story searching for the photos that accompanied this story!
