I feel I need to elaborate on today's Headline du jour. ("Having a Lousy President is a BFD")
Powerline points to the Official Obama website, where one can purchase a "Health care is a BFD t-shirt.
For the sake of full disclosure, I just got into the t-shirt business in a small way myself, and some might view an "Obama is our President in 2010 the way George was our King in 1775" t-shirt as irreverent, as well. But, I am not representing the office of the Presidency of the United States.
It's one thing for the Vice President to be caught muttering an off color remark. It's quite another to be prominently displaying it on a line of merchandise approved by the President or his campaign. While this shirt would be perfectly acceptable at a rock concert or bong shop, the office of the Presidency and the person holding the office should try to be a bit more circumspect.
We do not need the highest office holder in the land coarsening the office of the President, either with interns in the Oval Office or by adding off color language to the national discourse.
