Our only newspaper with a state-wide circulation(The State) had an article on one of only two surviving Medal of Honor recipients from WWII living in the state. It was well done, reflected upon his recent trip to Germany to the town he was serving when the German's surrendered. Over the years, I have heard a few HOH recipients speak, radio, TV, and one in person. When they speak, I always feel as though I am listening to someone special. And they always manage to want to give the credit to those with they served. And we must remember all were heroes, some received the MOH, most did not. Most came home, a good many served forever. Honor them every chance we get.
