  3. Fresh air indeed, I wonder where he was during the period when Republicans held the voting power in Washington. My hope is that the hard left turn exibited by the current administration continues to bring out the conservative Senators and give them enough backbone to vote their consciouses.

  4. Jim: Tom only got to Washington about two to three weeks before Obama did, in Jan '09. Before that, he was a state senator in California.

  5. Proof;
    Looks like somebody in California, make that lots of somebodies awakened to the new drumbeat. I'm watching the Senators from Tennessee very closely. So far they are doing everything right.... for a change.

  7. I really believe the stupid, extremely expensive aganda they are supporting will spell their downfall. Hopefully the next two election cycles will show the tax and spend crowd the American people are fed up with their excesses. Now if we could get term limits imposed upon Congress we'd be making real progress.

  8. Term limits may be a bit much to ask. It's like asking to fox to vote away his henhouse privileges.
    If, however, the electorate would stay informed, they could vote these guys out when they proved to be less than adequate to meet the job. But, then, that may be a little too idealistic as well, too?
