In a NYT column we learn the following:
Privately, Mr. Obama has described himself, at times, as essentially a Blue Dog Democrat, referring to the shrinking caucus of fiscally conservative members of the party.
As improbable as that sounds, we did take a look here at "blue dogs and "yellow dogs".
I think Barack qualifies as a "yellow dog Democrat".

ReplyDeleteCalling Obama a "blue dog" Democrat, after all the bribes and incentives he had to give the blue dogs to sign onto his massive spending programs, is Orwellian at best.
