Weiner Heckled at News Conference -video

Anthony Weiner resigned today and except for the heckling, it was a real snoozefest.



Now, if he wasn't such a narcissist, who cannot wean himself from the camera, (either video or handheld), he could have simply sent out a press release and stayed hiding under whichever rock Huma hasn't tossed his way yet.

And like a typical narcissist, he cannot see what he has done that's so terribly wrong. He resigns not because of moral failing or weakness, but because it's a "distraction" from the very important things he was doing to, er, for the American public.

He will undoubtedly go through the kabuki of rehabilitation and then probably run again for office (unless he cut a deal for some appointment, with the Dems, to just go away quietly.) Considering pols like Gerry Studds (D-Can't keep it Zipped) who was reelected seven more times after having been censured by the House for having sex with a 17 year old congressional page, the bar is pretty low for Democrat standards of conduct.

The Dems will fit Weiner in.
