As was pointed out, if this were private industry risking their own money it would be one thing (and shut down overnight!), but it's a waste of tax dollars at a time we can least afford it.
Good intentions-- not good results. The Volt was intended to be a good thing. That seems to be all that matters in our emerging wonderland. Feeling good about good intentions. I never had a job like that. There is a very famous road that is actually paved with good intentions.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound like I could get from here to Reno with a full night's charge and a single tank of gas. And God help me if there's snow on the pass!
Delete@ Silverfiddle: Shhhhhh, If they hear about that, they'll spend $50,000,000,000 on bicycles that fall apart, or catch on fire, after 5 miles!
ReplyDeleteLOL!

ReplyDeleteIs that the road to "heck"?? Agreed. There was a great tweet this AM from someone who noted that:
Delete"You have someone driving a pickup who makes $30K a year subsidizing someone who vacations at the Vineyards."
The War on Poverty was "good intentions", as well, that has resulted in increased government dependency, illegitimacy, crime and cultural decay.
