Quote du jour

People compare Obama to Lyndon Johnson, but I think a better comparison is between Obama and Nixon. Because Nixon came into office saying he was going to pull out of Vietnam, and then he escalated the war. A lot of us were led to believe that Obama was the peace president, but there are still, I think, 70,000 troops in Afghanistan...
-Woody Harrelson

  1. I see Woody is still in character as the brainless twit he played on Cheers. Being compared to Johnson OR Nixon is not exactly flattering. But he's not too far off the mark about Afghanistan - last time I checked that number was about 62,000.

    1. I usually try to avoid any endeavors that Mr. Harrelson takes part in, but I thought this exemplified some of the disillusionment with Obama on the Left.

    1. My favorite (and only) Woody Harrelson story, was from when he played "Woody" on Cheers. (Maybe he had trouble remembering his character's name?) One of the ladies in the bar was on a diet or some such, and Woody says to her, "You know what I like about Hostess Sno-Balls? They're bite sized." And he shoves a whole one into his mouth.

I don't care who you are, that there was funny!
