A rifle has rifling (those lands and grooves inside the barrel), calling a musket a "rifle" irks me. Unless the barrel is indeed rifled, then, if you must, call it a "rifled musket". To me a musket is a smooth bore weapon (which have all the accuracy of a news report on MSNBC. Although not quite as grating on the ears. And nerves.)-OldAFSarge
