    Dave Barry is great. There are books with his Miami Herald columns that will absolutely crack you up. Dave, Stephen King, Amy Tan and several other authors have a so-called rock band, named The Bottom Remainders or something like that. Dave describes the band as 'profoundly mediocre'.

      His novels are pretty funny, too. I think at least one of the has been made into a movie.

      It's called Big Trouble. It stars Tim Allen & takes place in Miami. It has a lot of other actors you will recognize too. The plot is kinda complicated & convoluted, but it will crack you up.
