I was in a hotel, getting ready for work in Singapore. Srisuda (my wife) call from Thailand "turn on tv" - I watch the whole story unfold - none of the Americans in the office went to work before lunch that day
Three Malay guys were clapping every time they showed the planes crashing into the world trade centers - I drop a dime on those heartless assholes
I was sitting in my study, waiting to go to work when I saw the headline on Drudge and switched on the TV. I figured my some elderly pilot in a Cessna had a heart attack and crashed into the building. After the second plane hit, I knew it was no accident.
I remember driving into the Bay Area, wondering if this was how America felt on Dec. 8th, 1941, and what was going to happen next.
I was an engineer on a tugboat. We were at the Navy fuel dock on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville filling a fuel barge with JP-5 to take to MCAS Beaufort. Security was ultra tight when we got to Beaufort.
