Thank you for the kind words! John is indeed formidably talented as an artist in a number of different media. John is IMHO one of the premier political cartoonists of our time.
Not to take anything away from John and his excellent art, I would like to take this occasion to point out one small detail in the above 'toon. If you'll notice, there are initials under John's signature: "MB". These are the 'toons that John and I collaborate on.
Long time readers of the blog will recognize that those are my real life, reallio trulio initials, because I am...Marlon Brando! And yes, reports of my demise etc. etc.
Working together with John is a slightly different creative process than I am used to, but I believe that so far we have emerged relatively unscathed. (And produced some damn fine political cartoons!)
I am proud to have John here contributing to the blog with his stand alone efforts (and an occasional banner), and prouder still of the work we cobble together together. (But, I repeat myself!)
Continue to let John know how you appreciate his work. We offer him praise in lieu of salary. (If he ever hears about that whole "minimum wage" thingy, I am so screwed!)
Kudos to John Cox for this "quiptoon" and to the proprietor of this delightful blog for posting it.
