Aren't many of those "evil" Disney movies just retelling of tales over a hundred years old? If Disney makes a movie in 1959 of an 1812 fairy tale, how much liberty should they be given in rewriting the story to fit "modern" sensibilities? At which point does it become a different story?
Shall we remake Moby Dick with Ahab commanding a Greenpeace vessel trying to save the whales to make it politically correct??
