Having lived through the shoe pounding of Nikita Khrushchev, I believe he was somewhat misinterpreted. Although at the time, I believed his intent was "we will kill you and bury you", I have come to believe that, perhaps what he actually was trying to say, is that he believed in the superiority and longevity of the Soviet Union (which was proven wrong), and he and they would "still be standing" at the funeral of the West.-Mike B
