Best Quote of the Election

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

A cute, little vignette in the wake of the Nevada gubernatorial race. Nevada Gov.-elect Brian Sandoval is preparing to move his family into the Carson City Governor's Mansion. When his youngest daughter was asked about the move (she's getting her own room, complete with a balcony), she said,

"It makes me feel like a princess."

Dirty Harriette - Walk Softly, Nevadans and Carry a Big Stick

"Are you feeling lucky, Mr. Reid? Well do you?"

“Man up, Harry Reid,” Sharron Angle taunted him at their Las Vegas debate here Thursday night. That’s not an idle insult, coming from a woman who campaigns at times with a .44 Magnum revolver in her 1989 GMC pickup.

-Maureen Dowd

Poor NYT columnist! Think Maureen's tighty whiteys are in a wad over the pickup or that she's packing? Strong, self reliant women seem to disturb liberals. I don't know about you, but this makes me like Angle even more! And since Dingy Harry is running ads in Nevada about his support for firearms and hunters, Mo Dowd may be helping Sharon with the very demographic Harry is trying to corral.

Ms. Angle, if you're listening? A good set of Pachmayr grips * will give you good control and help reduce the feeling of recoil.

*Not a paid endorsement. I have a set of Pachys on my .44 magnum. But if you guys at the factory wanted to show your appreciation, I have other handguns! Heh.

The Candidate That Dares Not Speak His Name

Rory Reid, son of Harry Reid, dropped his last name from his campaign advertising. Bumper stickers, lawn signs all say "Rory -2010". Having an unpopular, weaselly dimbulb for a father doesn't go a long way to help you in a Nevada campaign!

Latest Rasmussen polls show Reid, er, Rory losing to the Republican candidate 33 to 58%.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds Sandoval receiving 58% of the vote to Reid's 33%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, while seven percent (7%) are not sure.

Sandoval, a former federal judge and state attorney general, has consistently held a modest lead over Reid, son of Senate House Majority Leader Harry Reid. In surveys dating back to early February, support for Sandoval has ranged from 45% to 58%. In those same surveys, Reid has earned anywhere from 31% to 40% of the vote. Early last month, Sandoval led Reid 52% - 36%.

So, regardless whether or not his (in)famous father is bounced in November, there apparently won't be a second generation of Reids to kick around!

Rasmussen: Reid, Angle Tied at 47%

According to Rasmussen polling, Sharron Angle has overcome the two point lead Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid enjoyed two weeks ago, to make this horse race neck and neck.

The momentum seems to be clearly with Angle, so much so that a frightened Reid is jumping to adopt the same positions as she, most notably on the Ground Zero mosque recently.

If you want to know what Senator Reid thinks about anything between now and election day, just look to see what Sharron Angle said the day before. Harry's attempt to clone himself in the image of Sharron might be more successful if he'd just shave his legs. Too Harry.
