Yesteryday I was writing for Pajamas Media on the "whore" comment made by a Brown staffer, released by an L.A. police union group:
This in turn was perhaps the most ludicrous aspect of the story, excerpted:
Where is the feminist outrage? As Dan Riehl noted, when a staffer to Alaskan GOP senate candidate Joe Miller likened rival Lisa Murkowski's potential Libertarian party bid to the "oldest profession in the world," the feminist reaction was swift, just and vocal. What would be the equivalent to this from a conservative group? I can't think of a better example of NOW being a front group for leftist-extremist causes and 'standing by their man' no matter what. How 'feminist' is that? Sounds more like battered wife syndrome to me.
But proving that there is no shame or boundaries for sleaze in politics today - the National Organization for Women in California endorsed Jerry Brown within 24 hours of the incident. Brown waved around the endorsement as his spokesman denied any connection to the timing. The start page at the National Organization for Women has an article condemning senator Jim DeMint but nothing on "Whoregate" as well.
Can you imagine?

A sneak preview of tomorrow's Quote du jour:
ReplyDelete“Meg Whitman is a pro-choice woman who was ranked among the world’s most accomplished women in business. She’s now running to become the first woman governor in California’s history, and on the same day that it’s reported Jerry Brown’s campaign called her a ‘whore,’ the National Organization [for] Women endorses him. It’s official: NOW is a partisan organization.”
- Jillian Hasner, Whitman campaign manager,
Griff Harsh, the husband of California gubernatorial candidate Nutmeg Whitman, acknowledged in a statement on Thursday that “it is possible” he received and wrote notes on a letter from the Social Security Administration back in 2003, regarding the former Housekeeper/Maid. The Whitman/ Harsh household then fired their housekeeper in June 2009 (after nine years of service), when Nutmeg handlers decided that she was an election liability.
ReplyDeleteAnd now the Jill Armstrong, a former full-time nanny of the Harsh/ Whitman dungeon, came to the defense of the Housekeeper/Maid and told the San Francisco Chronicle that she believes Diaz's claim because she "know[s] the family" and "what it was like."
Meg, Meg, Meg, where do I start, you have reportedly spent $140 million of your own money to get elected Governor but you couldn’t use some of it to get your housekeeper (after nine years of service) some legal help to get her papers, and worse you lied about it. Wow, what a WITCH, of course I meant it with a “B”.

But your comments on holding employers accountable for hiring undocumented workers real takes the cake, I assume you exempt yourself and your husband, or will you be turning yourself in.

Meg you think you can buy the election, but what puzzles many is if you real cared and loved California then why not do your civic duty and vote, seems more rhetoric than anything else.
In good times we might give you a try but not in our disaster mode that we find ourselves in after that so-called outsider Independent Republican, named Arnold Schwarzenegger (sold to us by radio personalities John and Ken), ruined our state, yah we will trust another one of you liars, think not. And another thing nine years this maid was in your house, in your house and you failed to learned this major thing about her, come on this sounds like a huge lie that no one can believe in.
Ebay paid out $200,000 because Nutmeg assaulted an employee, so it’s not the first time she has mistreated an employee. Good luck winning Nutmeg, money will buy you admiration from the majority just from the Gay Old Party (GOP), but not from all of California.

ReplyDeleteMontana: How many people do you know where you have seen their birth certificates? Have you investigated the backgrounds of any of your co-workers, or just the Hispanic looking ones?
They saw her CDL and SS card. At which point should they have gone on a witch hunt (and I mean that with a "W") to see if she was who she said she was?
"your comments on holding employers accountable for hiring undocumented workers real (sic) takes the cake"
"what puzzles many is if you real (sic) cared and loved California"
Really! No, I mean "really". It's adverbial. If you are going to use it so much, you really should use it correctly!
Poof: Bla, bla, bla, snore, snore, next!
ReplyDeleteStop writing on your monitor in crayon, Montana. Tell the pretty nurse to up your meds.
