Bill Maher Turns on #OccupyWallStreet? (Better Late Than Never)

Does anyone other than the desperate, fawning left-wing press take #OccupyWallStreet seriously now?

Somewhere in between the rapes, private property trashing, incessant obnoxiousness, worthless marches, riot police rubber-bullet-sprayed mobs and homesteading -- which has absolutely nothing to do with free speech, zip, zero, nada -- Americans have gone from losing interest to becoming adamantly against the #Occupy "movement".

Why's that you ask?

As a personal aside, yesterday we spent a beautiful afternoon at Balboa Park here in San Diego. It was crowded but for good reason: the sun and sunny-70s temps were an irresistible Saturday afternoon draw for locals looking to take advantage of the unseasonably warm weather.

Near sunset, as we were driving out of the park, I noticed a commotion on one of the main throughways heading out (Park Blvd, if you live here), there was a lot of traffic but something else was going on; a lot of braking and commotion. I thought it might be a clever homeless juggler guy (saw a few of those earlier), a roadside "magician" or God forbid, a bicycle accident or something.

Nope.

As we inched our way down Park, the cause of the fuss became apparent: a strangly-scraggly, beaded, dread-locked and jobless (by choice and drug use; both someone else's fault) dirty-hippy Occupier was taunting the peaceful Balboa Park families exiting the area with a large OCCUPY SAN DIEGO! sign.

She desperately flailed and flaunted said sign with her left hand (her good hand?) while also violently banging away on some sort of snare like a circus chimp on coke with her right hand. I assume that just like us, park visitors were not enamored, amused or sympathetic to this sad woman's cause. The bright side is that her effort was obviously playing a small role in the final discreditation of #OccupyWallStreet, at least locally.

OccupyWallStreet: "Brains"... and "We are coming for your money!"

It's no wonder that, according to Rasmussen, a clear majority of likely voters see #Occupiers as nothing more than drug-addled nuisances.

It's kind of like the windshield squeegee guys in Manhattan a few years back. At first they were a novelty and folks indulged them. But when they became belligerent -- and an incredible nuisance -- their welcome quickly faded.

Newt Gingrich 'Is a Fat Womanizing Blowhard'

Pot, meet kettle:



You know what this means, don't you? It means that Newt is rising in the polls, and as such, the politics of personal destruction must be brought to bear on him.

First, "Fat, Womanizing Blowhard" could describe Teddy Kennedy to a "T". Ever hear Bill Maher refer to Teddy as a "Fat, Womanizing Blowhard"? Remove the comma, and "Fat Womanizing Blowhard" applies to Bill Clinton. Anyone ever hear Bill Maher refer to Bill Clinton as a womanizer? Or to Michael Moore as a "Fat blowhard"? (Trick questions. Almost no one hears Bill Maher any more!)

The level of hypocrisy is stunning, even for liberals. The next time a liberal sheds crocodile tears over Newt's wife being cheated on while she was hospitalized for cancer, just ask of they are talking about Newt or John Edwards? See if their faux outrage was the same for each.

Newt is by no means the perfect conservative, but I think the liberal left is envisioning Newt standing toe to toe in debate against the teleprompter dependent Obama and seeing their side irreparably bloodied. And they're wetting themselves over it, hence, the display above.

Andrew Breitbart on Bill Maher's 'Libertarianism', Maher, "I'm not Afraid to Say that European Socialism Works"

A couple of things come to mind in regards to the Bill Maher, "Real Time" HBO segment below. First, it's another instant classic (but not as good as the most recent) from Andrew Breitbart. Who else could nail Bill Maher on his idiotic claim that he is a 'libertarian' while espousing all of the statist, neo-Bolshevik garbage that he continually does. Second, isn't it nice to see liberals (in Hollywood, congress, wherever) admit that they think that European socialism is a preferred frame of government and life to what we have enjoyed in the United States since our founding?:
