Commentary on Obama's Secret Speech: Paranoia or Subversion?

In another brief suspension of our "Obama Free Zone", former President Obama gave a speech in which all the audience was sworn to secrecy as to what he said. No recordings, no quoting, no Tweeting, and anyone caught doing so would be subject to penalties. What in the world is he trying to hide? This was my comment over on another forum.

This is truly bizarre, and to use one of Obama's favorite words...unprecedented! No president to my knowledge, living or dead, has ever made such a request. Bizarre, too, in that every politician, celebrity or activist who believes that their viewpoint, policy or knowledge is superior to any other, typically wants to find the biggest platform, the biggest microphone, the largest audience they can find.

I suspect he took some cheap shots at Trump and didn't want to look petty,
took claim for the success of the Trump recovery, which would make him look delusional,
criticized Trump, Republicans and the NRA for the lack of gun control, which would make him look irrelevant.
If I were in his shoes, I would ask the event be televised, but then, the things I would say would be to strengthen the nation, preserve liberty and freedom. But then, that's just me!

Okay, not ALL of them, because that would break the Internet, but the ones flying around lately in today's sexually charged atmosphere. I've been hearing it a lot, or its variation about Bill Clinton's sexual transgressions:

"Bill Clinton's case was 'fully litigated'." - Clinton flunkie, or 

"Bill was "fully investigated and held accountable".- HRC

"Fully litigated". "Fully investigated". Buzz words based on a partial truth. Yes, Bill's perjury was investigated and to a certain extent he was held accountable, but that was for perjury in a federal court, certainly not the rape of Juanita Broaddrick.

It's just a little more of the verbal sleight of hand the Clintons are famous for when they don't want to give you a straight answer, (on those rare occasions when they do not feign amnesia). Or depending on what your meaning of the word "is" is.

What Difference A "D" Makes

Let's set the Way Back machine for 2009. Remember 2009? We had a new President and First Lady in the White House, and repeatedly, continually, the press, commentators and ladies' magazines were all gushing about...the First Lady's well toned arms! Google "First Lady's toned arms 2009" for about 2,650,000 results. Like CNN...

Now, I've seen a workout video Michelle did that was pretty impressive. She could certainly beat up that wimpy husband of hers with one hand tied behind her back! But, where are those people now? The ones who gushed and slobbered all over Michelle's arms? Does not the current First Lady have "toned arms"? Legs? Tummy? Everything?? Face it. Melania Trump is the most beautiful First Lady in the entire history of the United States. Don't you think at least one of those toned arm gushers might find something similar to say about her?

She's gorgeous. She speaks six languages, though some reporters who are less than fluent in one, complain about or make fun of her accent. She's been criticized for the shoes she wore, walking from the White House to a waiting helicopter to travel to visit hurricane victims. While it is true that some faulted her predecessor for the tone deafness of wearing $600 sneakers to help out in a food bank, the circumstances were wildly different.

Face it. Nancy Reagan was pretty. Jackie Kennedy was elegant. Hillary Clinton didn't scare too many children, but Melania is a knockout. Could you guys out there in the MSM cut her a little slack. As the old commercial used to say, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful". And don't hate her as a means of trying to bring down her husband, with whom you disagree. That's disgusting and should be beneath you.


BTW, if the post headline didn't immediately have Dinah Washington running through your head, shame on you. Remedy to follow...

Democrats' Schiff Into Damage Control

Let me get this straight...last year, month after month, Democrats like yourself told us over and over and over again that the ONLY reason Republicans and conservatives were asking for accountability for Mrs. Clinton, was purely political, "to defeat her in November". Remember that? Apparently not. Now you're telling us that it's not to defeat her, since dear old granny Clinton is no longer Sec State or a political candidate?

If by "design", you mean "actual evidence of wrongdoing", then yes, it's by design. And there's far more actual evidence of the Clinton campaign and Clinton and Obama cronies colluding with the Russians than there ever was about Trump. The "dossier" which started the whole "Trump collusion" baloney was apparently bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign and possibly elements of the corrupt Obama administration.

There is also an informant, who has been under wraps since 2009 (for you math impaired liberals, that is LONG before Trump ever announced his run for the presidency), with information about Russian bribery, corruption and collusion with Secretary Clinton and the Obama administration over obtaining US uranium, which through the neglect, incompetence and/or criminal collusion of Hillary and the Obama administration, Russia eventually obtained.

BTW, someone should put this informant on a "suicide" watch, as people who have dirt on Hillary or the Clintons apparently tend to become suicidally depressed.

Dear Adam Schiff, bless his heart, is trying to argue the opposite of what Democrats were bleating all throughout 2016. Why then, according to the brightest minds of Democrats (stop laughing!) would the accusations continue after the election, unless there really was something of substance to cover up, as perhaps witnessed by the largest sudden destruction of smart phones and computer hard drives in recorded history?

The Democrats hitched their wagon to the colossally corrupt Clintons, with all their tremendously famous ethical shortcomings, and are in full damage control mode trying to staunch the bleeding.

The ship is sinking. Tell everyone how shocked, SHOCKED you are over the Clintons' corruption, then head for the lifeboats.

Vikings 49*, Equal Opportunity 3

I have been watching The Vikings of late. I'd heard a lot of the hype about it, and in typical contrarian fashion, anything the crowds are running towards is generally an indication that I head in the opposite direction. But, having some time on my hands, I stumbled upon it one night and began to watch.

I learned a lot from this show. For example, their leaders sally forth from their villages to steal as much wealth as they can carry and bring it back to distribute to the people of their villages. However, they keep the majority of it for themselves. This was the foundation of the modern Democratic Party. Unfortunately, when they were gone for long periods of time, other leaders would come in and usurp their territories. This lead to the creation of the "August recess".

I confess, I got caught up in the story, the epic grandeur and graphic, sometimes senseless violence. So much so, that it wasn't until the fourth season before my inner social justice warrior began to stir within me. "There are no persons of color among the Vikings!", it whispered. "It's not fair!" Equally absent was the presence of any obviously transgendered individuals. I know. Baby steps.

Now true, they were rather 'equal opportunity' when it came to letting females fight and die in their battles. Equality between the sexes. Two of them, anyway! There's even two differently abled characters in the show, though they might not be portrayed by a differently abled actors. Haven't figured out whether or not to be outraged yet. One slave girl was obviously Asian, (played by an Asian), but other than that, not a lot of diversity!

I still have six episodes to go, so there may be a tribe of black Vikings or black Anglo-Saxons yet to be introduced, but until then, the darkest face I've seen so far, was the white woman in the picture above in makeup.

*There are 49 episodes in Seasons 1- 4.

Update: Having seen the last six episodes, as noted in the comments, I must throw a flag on the play and update (change) the final score. In episode 16, there is a brief appearance by a couple of Moorish guards and some exotic Harem girls.
Therefore, we must amend the SJW score to Vikings 49, Diversity 6.

Prior to Season 4, episode 16, the diversity consisted primarily of white, lily white, beige and ecru.

Saving the Environment, One Burning Tire at a Time

We are often treated to the myth of the Native American Noble Savage, living in peace and harmony with the environment. Yeah. Right!

I saw this story a couple weeks ago, but for some reason other things have been in the news lately. Exhibit "A" is that noble North Dakotan tribe, protesting an oil pipeline that would come in close proximity to native lands. Not on, close! To protest what they believe could be a potential threat to the environment, they create an actual threat to the environment!

Nothing says "I want to save the environment"" like burning old tires!

Hillary's Health is Off the Chart!

I mean, literally off the chart! As in, there was no chart! Just a couple of points about Hillary dropping like her trustworthiness numbers and the cover up which followed.

As the NY Post notes:

Secret Service protocol called for the Democratic presidential nominee to be rushed to a state-designated Level I Trauma Center in the wake of her Sunday morning health crisis, sources said. In Manhattan, that would be Bellevue Hospital.

But a campaign operative decided to change course to avoid having Clinton seen by doctors, nurses and other medical workers who could leak details to reporters, according to a source.

In addition, Clinton’s van was supposed to be escorted by an NYPD detail, but the Secret Service whisked her away from Ground Zero before cops could accompany her...

Secret Service protocol says take her to a hospital. A "campaign operative" (not Hillary. God knows if she was even conscious at this point) says take her to a private residence. Now, for all we know they could have just given her a Gatorade and a couple of Tylenol® and she was fit as a fiddle! But then, that's the point isn't it? We don't know. Had she been taken to an ER, there would have been a record of whatever treatment she received. A record, by law, not subject to deletion or BleachBit, but to HIPAA.

Instead they ditched their police escort, violated Secret Service protocol and whisked her away from the prying eyes of press scrutiny and medical professionals for 90 minutes. Afterwards, she appeared, fresh as a daisy,  Clinton's patented: NothingToSeeHere™.

Lately, I've been hearing a new talking point, that George H. W. Bush was sick and threw up over the shoes of the Japanese Prime Minister and Hillary got sick, so...people get sick! No big deal!

Aside from the fact they had to go back 24 years to dust off this chestnut, a couple of notable differences: one, with Bush 41, the incident was completely isolated. no coughing fits prior, no inability to climb a flight of stairs by himself. Nothing before or after. Hillary has been observed in a number of instances lately which could bring her health into question. (Irony alert: George H. W. Bush stepped out of an airplane on his 90th birthday. Hillary has trouble stepping off a curb!) 

Two, Bush did not offer three or more explanations of how it happened, didn't deny that it happened, didn't disappear into a private residence and appear 90 minutes later pretending it never happened! He would have only done that if he had something to hide.

"Don't Let Anyone Tell You She Hasn't Had Work Done", or Something Like That!

If you see either one of these women, proceed with caution!
Who can forget the stirring words of Michelle Obama in February 2008 telling us that for the first time in her adult life, she was finally proud of her country? Apparently, that would be...Michelle Obama! Michelle got up at the Democrat convention in Philadelphia and figuratively* wagged her finger at us (something she learned from her husband, no doubt), and told us "Don't ever let anyone tell you America isn't great", despite the fact that it's only gotten worse over the last eight years.

But, I guess if you "wake up every morning in a house built by slaves", have your servants cook and clean for you and cater to your every desire, if you can travel the world on multi-million dollar vacations, spend as much as you like on your wardrobe and have chefs flown in at the expense of the peons taxpayers to satisfy your every culinary whim, then I guess you'd think that your America was pretty great.

For the rest of America? Let them eat cake!
