Flag of the Obama Nation Flies Again!

This time, in Florida, at the Lake County Democratic Headquarters in Tavares.

President Obama's face in place of stars on an American flag flying at Lake County Democratic Headquarters in Tavares irked a group of veterans on Tuesday, who found themselves engaged in a verbal confrontation and the threat of police action when they requested the flag be taken down. The matter was resolved peacefully when Democratic party officials removed the flag. The Obama flag had been flowing for two months underneath an American flag before it was noticed by the veterans, who argued that it was a desecration of the flag and in violation of three codes passed by Congress about displaying the American flag

Just to make it perfectly clear, the "threat of police action" was a threat against the veterans by the local Democrat party hacks.

Van Beck gave Hurlbert a POW-MIA flag to be installed in place of the Obama flag and offered for the veterans to put it up. Once again Hurlbert reminded Van Beck that he and the other veterans were on private property and if they touched the flag, she would call police.

Hmm. She wasn't calling it a "flag like banner". Of course, ever since I posted the picture of the guy (of indeterminate race) flying the Flag of the Obama Nation over his house, the peanut gallery of troll-like liberals have been strangely silent on the matter. Another account had this to say:

Tempers are flaring over a version of the American flag flying in Lake County. A veterans group says the flag is an outrage. The flag, which features a picture of President Obama, was taken down Tuesday afternoon. Korean war veteran Don Van Beck said his blood was boiling. "I can't describe how upset I was because you just don't do that to the American flag," Van Beck said.

The vets are calling it a desecration of the flag. And both parties refer to the object in question as a "flag". No one is using weasel words to try to slither away from the real issues. The Flag of the Obama Nation, Now With Pledge

Last October, in the The Flag of the Obama Nation Redux, we took a look at what one Obamanite was flying over his house:




I was thinking of this in regards to the small furor of some boys being sent home from high school for having the audacity to wear t-shirts with American flags on them to school. Did I mention that they did so on that most sacred of American holidays: Cinco de Mayo?

Now aside from the fact that CdM is a bigger holiday north of the border than south (CdM is to Corona and Dos Equis what Mother's Day is to Hallmark!), shouldn't Americans have the right to express their patriotism 356 days a year? (366 on leap years?)

Cinco de Mayo is not an official holiday, nor is it an American holiday. It's a little like St. Patrick's Day, you celebrate it if you feel like it. Even Columbus day is a recognized American holiday, though it is fast falling out of favor because of "political correctness". All three have an ethnic and cultural aspect to them. I would be equally offended if someone asked me not to wear a representation of the American flag on any of those occasions.

I guess to many liberals, patriotism is to be celebrated once a year, on the Fourth of July, and then, only grudgingly. They quote from the Flag Code copiously when it comes to boys in patriotic t-shirts, but can't find it in themselves to criticize Obama's picture on the flag.

Since some of his followers have replaced the fifty stars representing our fifty (not fifty seven) states with the One True Star, Obama, I have rewritten the Pledge just for them:

I pledge allegiance to the flag
of the United State of Obama
and to the republic, which no longer stands.
One nation, over taxed, divided among racial, ethnic and economic quotas
With health care and government cheese for all.

(The proper way to give the new Pledge, incidentally, is with one's hand over one's crotch.)

The Flag of the Obama Nation Redux

Back on Inauguration day, we stirred a small tempest in a teapot over the Flag of the Obama Nation . Defenders of that conduct tried to argue that they were NOT desecrating flags, but rather they waved "flag like banners". Yeah. Right. Today, we go to Kokomo, IN where we see this flag flying over someone's house. Let the lame defenses continue!

*Sigh* Yes, you're happy. We get that! Does disrespecting the American flag have to go hand in hand with that? Michelle Malkin notes:

US Flag Code: “The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.”

This is worse than the Obamanites picturing the flag upside down at their convention. You'd think if he spent 160 million bucks he could hire one guy to look up flag etiquette and maybe spread the word among his followers?
