Soup is For Winners

Super Bowl of Babes

It's a battle of the beauties today! (oh, yeah. And I hear there's a football game later. The Katy Perry Bowl, I think!)

Go (insert name of winning team here after the game) !

Update: After a near miraculous reception near the goal line, Seattle makes a boneheaded play and turns the ball over. Final: New England 28, Seattle 24

Peyton at the Bowl

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Outlook wasn't brilliant for the Bronco men that day:
The score stood forty three to eight, with one more down to play.
So did that stricken multitude in melancholy howl,
For there seemed but little chance of Peyton's winning Super Bowl.

There was ease in Peyton's manner as he stepped into his place;
There was pride in Peyton's bearing and a smile on Peyton's face.
And when, responding to the cheers, the blitz began to hit,
No stranger in the crowd could doubt 'twas Peyton's final bit.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
There's no joy in Mile High Mudville - mighty Peyton has struck out.

San Francisco Wins 2016 Super Bowl Bid

Super Bowl L (50 to the Roman Numeral Impaired) will be held in San Francisco in 2016.

And the people rejoiced!

Super Bowl L will be only the third Super Bowl to be designated with a single Roman numeral. The first was obviously Super Bowl I. Can you (without peeking) name the other? Cinchy, right?

And, assuming one Super Bowl per year for the foreseeable future, in what year will the next Super Bowl to be designated with a single digit appear?

Harbaugh Bowl Sunday: Niners vs. Ravens

This time, it's for all the marbles!

Go Niners!

Update: *Sigh* After much drama, a blackout, a second half rally and some questionable officiating, the Niners lost 34-31.

The Declaration of Independence -video

One great moment on Super Bowl Sunday, was the reading of the Declaration of Independence brought to us by Fox Sports and the National Football League.

Let's just say that there was nothing there that a couple of "wardrobe malfunctions" couldn't fix!

Super Bowl Sunday

BTW, I hear there's going to be a football game today, too!

I plan on watching the Packers beat the Steelers. I suspect it will be a good game.
However...the fact that neither teams have cheerleaders (Green Bay and Pittsburgh? It's hard to look sexy in long underwear and a parka!), means they should have provided an alternate, like the lingerie bowl of Superbowls past?

Go Pack! The Steelers have their crying towels ready! Heh.
