The "Epidemic" of Blacks Murdered by Cops in America

An "epidemic"??

Many persons...spreading rapidly from person to person...really? You know it's not an epidemic. I know it's not an epidemic. You know who else doesn't think it's an epidemic? Jesse Jackson.. Jesse Jackson was on TV last night reciting all the black people shot by racist cops, and he cites...Trayvon Martin. Trayvon Martin??

Several things wrong with this. One, George Zimmerman was not a cop, he was a civilian. Two, despite press reports trying to portray him as a "white Hispanic", George Zimmerman is not white. Three, it was determined to be self defense. And four, if there is such an epidemic of white cops shooting black men and women, how desperate would you have to be to reach back over four years to get an example? After all, an epidemic affects "many persons". Why not cite one of the 'many' recent examples??

Before we move on, just a little trip down memory lane to the thug the media tried to portray as a 12 year old choirboy:

In October 2011, after a video surveillance camera caught Martin writing graffiti on a door, MDSPD Officer Darryl Dunn searched Martin’s backpack, looking for the marker he had used. Officer Dunn found 12 pieces of women’s jewelry and a man’s watch, along with a flathead screwdriver the officer described as a “burglary tool.” The jewelry and watch, which Martin claimed he had gotten from a friend he refused to name, matched a description of items stolen during the October 2011 burglary of a house on 204th Terrace, about a half-mile from the school. However, because of Chief Hurley’s policy “to lower the arrest rates,” as one MDSPD sergeant said in an internal investigation, the stolen jewerly was instead listed as “found property” and was never reported to Miami-Dade Police who were investigating the burglary.

The school suspended him, but they should have reported him to the police. Had his crimes caught up with him then, maybe he would have been in custody instead of wandering around houses late at night looking for a place to rob on his way to the store to buy Skittles.

Who else is in this parade of blacks shot by white cops? Michael Brown. Yes, that paragon of virtue who robbed a convenience store, roughing up the shopkeeper on his way out the door, moments before he was confronted by police. I happened to see a few minutes of a "very special" edition of 48 Hours on CBS where they showed a beaming Michael Brown in his high school cap and gown. Really? The phrase "Hands up, don't shoot" originated in the aftermath of the Brown shooting, after a witness lied about Brown not resisting arrest.

Physical and forensic evidence in fact contradict claims by witnesses who have maintained that Brown had his hands up, above his waist when Wilson shot him, the Justice Department concluded.

So, "racist cop"? Or "Cop shoots thug attacking him, tried to wrestle his gun away from him"?

Self defense -2, Racist epidemic of white cops shooting blacks - 0 BTW, this part of the "epidemic" took place nearly two years ago.

More recently we have Philando Castile, supposedly shot by another racist white cop, another individual we in the real world call "Hispanic", while his cold blooded girlfriend took video and posted the incident to Facebook. The only video I've seen that she took was after the shooting, and not at all probative in proving guilt or innocence. We do get her (prejudiced) description of what had just happened. Yeah, like Brown's sidekick at the convenience store robbery said that Brown had his hands up saying 'don't shoot'. Color me skeptical.

"I'm going to stop a car," one of the officers calmly begins, according to copies of radio transmissions obtained by KARE-11, an NBC affiliate in Minneapolis/St. Paul. Moments later, the officer reports that his reason to pull the car over was that "the two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery."

If the officer suspected the driver of an armed robbery, he would have approached the car with his weapon drawn, regardless of the race of the suspect. The girlfriend stated that Castile told the officer he had a permit for the gun, although no evidence of this has been presented. The weapon was apparently visible on the front seat, which would be a felony if the gun were loaded and Castile did not have a CCW.

My advice to you, regardless of your race, is that if a police officer ever approaches you with his gun drawn, that you move very slowly or not at all if instructed to do so. Castile was a black man, but the evidence of racial motivation in this case has yet to be proven, if at all.

Justified shootings -3, Racist epidemic of white cops shooting blacks - 0

Another "death by cop" that some like to throw into the mix is poor Eric Garner. Garner was an overweight individual (350 lbs.) who was the double victim of liberalism. Garner, you'll remember, was arrested outside a store selling "loosies", single cigarettes, for which he was not dutifully collecting the taxes.

New York City boasts the highest cost for cigarettes in the nation, with a pack ranging anywhere from $12 and up. The city lays its own taxes on top of the state’s, in an effort both to raise revenue and discourage use of tobacco.

Garner was selling individual cigarette to folks who might not be able to afford an entire pack, much less a carton. Garner filled the demand for selling a more affordable product. But, here's where the double victimization comes in: City Hall decided that they needed to make an example of these scofflaws who were denying the city coffers of their taxes, and directed that police step up enforcement of the law prohibiting the sale of "loosies". But it wasn't racial. Eric Garner had "three misdemeanor cases pending in Stapleton Criminal Court. He was free on $2,000 bail."

At the time of his arrest, there was a black policewoman sergeant on the scene overseeing the arrest of Garner. You can argue that the law was unjust, or that the enforcement effort was misplaced, but the proximate cause of Eric Garner's death was Eric Garner resisting arrest. Has he chosen to present his arms for the cuffs and slipped docilely into the back of the squad car or wagon, he would have lived to suck down another Twinkie. I am not unsympathetic to Mr. Garner. He did not expect to die resisting arrest, the men subduing him did not expect to kill him. He may have been outraged for being arrested yet again for trying to make or supplement his living, but it's generally not a good idea to resist arrest. Bad things happen regardless of race.

Another cause célèbre of the racist cops killing blacks is Freddie Gray, a black man who suffered a fatal injury in police custody. He was not shot by police. The man who drove the van that transported him was a black man. And so far, every attempt to criminalize the actions of the officers who arrested and transported Gray has resulted in either an acquittal or a dismissal of charges. No racism proven. Whatsoever.

I haven't mentioned Alton Sterling. On the surface it may look bad, but then, so did most of the cases mentioned above, when described by race baiters with a general disregard of the truth. I will reserve judgement on the Sterling case, and the ultimate resolution of the Castile case, until all the facts have come out and any punishment deserved is meted out, up to and including the death penalty.

But to build a narrative of racial division and hatred, such as has plainly inspired the racially motivated shooting in Dallas is unconscionable. I have often stated that there is a special circle in Hell for those who falsely accuse people of racism. They will have the advantage of looking down on those who sow racial hatred, discord and violence based on nothing but lies.

Non-racially motivated deaths -5, Racist epidemic of white cops shooting blacks - 0.  Jury still out -1.

There were a few other cases I omitted because of the length of the piece. At least one, I believed to be justified, One was based on no evidence whatsoever and a third was inconclusive. But add them all up and take away the benefit of the doubt on all of them and you have maybe ten, twelve deaths over four years? In a country of over three hundred million people, that's hardly an "epidemic".

Maybe tomorrow we'll focus on the "epidemic" of blacks shooting white cops? /sarc

(VIDEO) MoveOn.org's Lauren Valle Proved a Liar by Just-Released Video Showing Events Before Head-stomping Incident

If you are like me and voraciously following election news this week, you are most-likely exhausted of reading about the "head-stomping" incident involving a violent, paid, far-left batsh$t-crazy MoveOn.orger with a mile-long rapsheet and a Rand Paul supporter. The left has found it to be the cause célèbre of the final week election push - proving just how desperate, doomed and pathetic they truly are. In some ways I consider the issue a blessing as it is distracting hundreds of Soros-funded Bolshevik-bloggers at this point and Rand is going to easily win his race.

Lauren Valle (the MoveOn.org activist) has repeatedly claimed that she was just trying to get a signature and photograph from Rand Paul. She said this on MSNBC last night:

Well just before the tape I was identified by the Rand Paul campaign because they’ve seen me around town at these events. And they realized they know me because of my work and they don’t support it. So they actually formed a blockade around me once they realized that I was there. And as Rand’s car pulls up they step in front of me and start to block me so I stepped off the curb to try and get around them and at that point they pursued me around the car, chased me around the car, and what you see in the video is when I’m in the front of the car and that’s when I’m pulled down and then my head is stomped on.

She is an out-and-out liar.

The following video clearly shows Lauren Valle rushing Rand Paul's vehicle and pushing her sign into the car. A clearly dangerous, provocative act that completely discredits her version of the events. Hat-tip to Redstate:



I guess that Lauren Valle and MoveOn.org assumed that the rest of the video would never surface, this revelation easily disproves the 'angry-white-male-mob' that the Bolshevik bloggers are running with.

And for the record - though it won't matter to the trolls out there - it is never ok to step on someone's head. Tim Profitt should face serious penalties and the full extent of the law for doing so.

Target Can't Catch a Break!

CHICAGO, Aug 3 (Reuters) - In a challenge to corporations' newfound right to make unlimited campaign donations, U.S.-based retailer Target (TGT.N) found itself in the cross-hairs of a boycott effort fueled by anger at a Minnesota candidate strongly opposed to gay rights.

MoveOn.org, the Democratic political advocacy group, widened a petition drive on Tuesday it had begun last week to its five million members from Target's home state of Minnesota to drum up opposition to Target's recent $150,000 donation to a pro-business group, called MN Forward.

"Most Americans think corporations shouldn't be meddling in democracy, and Target is the test case for that," MoveOn.org spokeswoman Ilyse Hogue said, adding there had been a strong response with 200,000 members signed up so far.

So the Left Wing has painted a target on Target's back for being too far Right Wing? Big, bad Target, the Rupert Murdock of retailers, right?

It may be that those on the Left are suffering from short memories. I don't remember if it ever came to a formal boycott, but I remember a number of pro-life folks a few (?) years back who wanted to boycott Target's parent company for making contributions to pro-abortion organizations, (like Planned Parenthood, if memory serves me correctly.)

Another story notes that: In Minnesota, Target is known for donating to public school programs, food pantries and the annual Twin Cities Gay Pride Festival.

So, they make contributions to pro-abortion groups, they get flak from the Right. They make contributions to right of center politicians, they catch flak from the Left.

They support Gay Rights festivals and get no credit from either side.

Some days you just can't catch a break!

As a "member" of Move On dot org, I am privy to a lot of inside information. (most of which look like solicitations for cash) One of their latest emails proclaimed:

"Huge defeat for Blanche Lincoln"

Huge defeat? On what planet?

Halter's supporters are ecstatic because he just handed a huge defeat to Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln.

...by forcing her into a runoff? By coming in second in a field of three?? Interestingly, Fox News characterized this "huge defeat" thusly:

Lincoln, Halter Resume Warfare After Tuesday's Inconclusive Primary"

So, in Moooove On speak, "inconclusive" is a "huge defeat"!

According to Moooove On:

Because Sen. Lincoln is a favorite of big corporations, she still has millions in the bank—and she'll spend all of it smearing Bill Halter.

and

Halter's campaign team has gathered in Little Rock today to decide on their plan for the runoff. After being outspent more than two-to-one by Sen. Lincoln, their funds are nearly exhausted.

So, let's recap: Halter wasn't able to out poll Lincoln in the first race, she has millions she is willing to spend to "smear" Halter and Halter is nearly tapped out. And this is a "huge defeat"...for Lincoln?

Do the words "whistling past the graveyard" have any significance?

Move On Tries to Out "Number" Pelosi

One heartbeat and one aneurysm away from the Oval Office!

Remember Nancy Pelosi's "500 million jobs a month" lost if we don't pass the Stimulus/Pork/Intergenerational Wealth Transfer Act of 2009? Here's some more breathless fear mongering from Moove On:

President Obama's economic stimulus plan is in trouble. Conservative talking points are dominating the media's coverage and there's lots of misinformation around. Here are a few things you may not have heard about it:

1) This is a very, very good bill. As The Nation* writes, "If enacted, the economic recovery plan will be one of the biggest and boldest pieces of progressive legislation in the past forty years."¹

Here are some facts about what the bill really does:

• Creates or saves 3 million to 4 million jobs in the next two years.²
• Averts "literally hundreds of thousands of teacher layoffs"—and doubles funding for the Department of Education.³
• Creates 500,000 green jobs and doubles our clean energy production.⁴
• Immediately helps unemployed folks get affordable health insurance.⁵
  

Some folks are arguing that it should be bigger, and they're probably right, (Yikes!) but this is the best down payment on economic recovery we have seen, and it needs to be passed.

Literally hundreds of thousands of teacher layoffs? Literally??? The footnote for #3 is a NYT story which quotes Education Secretary Arne Duncan

Obama administration officials, teachers unions and associations representing school boards, colleges and other institutions in American education said the aid would bring crucial financial relief to the nation’s 15,000 school districts and to thousands of campuses otherwise threatened with severe cutbacks.

“This is going to avert literally hundreds of thousands of teacher layoffs,” Education Secretary Arne Duncan said Tuesday.

So, with 15,000 school districts, each is looking at hundreds or thousands of teachers being laid off? Maybe our new education secretary has trouble with the English word "literally"? Or was he just Pelosi-poor at math?

And what about the judgment of Move On?

Some folks are arguing that it should be bigger, and they're probably right,

A trillion dollars in pork isn't enough to bankrupt the country quickly enough for these people?

Move On is obviously just the Extreme Left Wing of the Democrat Party. It is instructive to note where they would take their party and the country if given half a chance!

*Looking to a far Leftist rag like The Nation for impartial judgment is like looking to Michael Moore for dieting tips! Heh.

Did you see how many Republicans voted for President Obama's stimulus package in the House yesterday?

None. Seriously, not a single one.

Americans voted overwhelmingly for change in November. We voted for an end to the partisan bickering and political games that are destroying our politics. And President Obama bent over backwards to get House Republicans to craft a bipartisan bill, to no avail.

As the bill moves to the Senate, we need bipartisan support, or the stimulus won't pass. Senate Republicans need to know they have a clear choice: support a stimulus package that will put millions of Americans back to work, or continue to play the games that got us into this mess.

We've put together a powerful new ad to pressure the key senators. Can you chip in $25 to get it on the air immediately?

There is one word for this: Wahhhh! Obama and company ran roughshod over the wishes and objections of Republicans to pass this pork-laden Intergenerational Debt bill. The only "bending over" was what Obama wanted Republicans to do to give himself and fellow Dems some cover when, not if, this blows up in their face.

Now the people who can't "move on" are crying because they have a majority to pass this obamination of a bill, but it's not Kum ba yah unanimous? Puhleeease! Whatever happened to "diversity of thought" or "dissent is patriotic"? Not surprising that Move On still needs a bogeyman to help keep the money rolling in!
