Saw this over at Adrienne's place which prompted me to comment.


In that Stockton protest, the two high schools mentioned, Stagg and Lincoln, are in the "better" part of town. The Cleveland school shooting they referred to, happened 29 years ago, where a single gunman, with many previous run ins with the law, including a psych hold a few days earlier, killed five students, wounded 32 and then killed himself. He had also recently passed a 15 day background check for a pistol that he picked up, but did not use.

San Francisco -In a powerful display of profound disappointment with President Obama, some of the Democratic Party's biggest donors gathered Tuesday - not inside his tony San Francisco fundraiser at the W Hotel, but outside on the sidewalks carrying signs in protest of his policies.

"I don't even know what he stands for," said Susie Tompkins Buell, a co-founder of the Esprit clothing company and one of the most generous Democratic Party donors in the nation - instrumental in backing such powerhouse progressive organizations as the Democracy Alliance and Media Matters.

Obama told Democratic donors at a cocktail reception at the Sea Cliff home of billionaire Tom Steyer that he wants House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco -- who was in attendance along with other Bay Area congressional Democrats -- to be House speaker again.

Man! It's rough being part of the 1%!

Tickets for the event at the home of Steyer and his wife, Kat Taylor, cost between $5,000 and $32,400. After that event, Obama attended a fund-raising dinner at the Pacific Heights home of billionaire heirs and philanthropists Ann and Gordon Getty.

Good thing Obama had that speech to make in Colorado so that he could write off the travel to visit his billionaire friends! /sarc

...On Thursday, the president will attend two more fundraisers in Atherton to benefit the Democratic National Committee. Liz Simons and Medley Partners Managing Director Mark Heising will host a brunch at their Atherton home, at $32,400-a-ticket, followed by a luncheon at the Atherton home of former insurance mogul and Levi-Strauss heir John Goldman and his wife, Marcia, where tickets cost $1,000 to $20,000. Obama was set to depart from SFO Thursday afternoon.

Let me see...two days fundraising, one short speech...yeah! No need for the Democrat Party to pay for this! I mean, it's not like little kids were being denied White House tours for lack of funding or anything!

But, those wacky Democrat protesters didn't fail to amuse as well...

One protester was dressed in a polar bear outfit. Police hauled away a drone replica. Others chanted, "Hey, Obama, we don't want no pipeline drama."

President One Per Cent was not available for comment.

If ever there was a "cover-up" that needs to have the light of day cast upon it, this has to be it, don't you think?

An American female journalist is sexually assaulted while attempting to cover the protests in Egypt - assaulted by two hundred men, according to reports - and the incident gets practically no play in the lamestream media, most conspicuously from the news organization that sent her there. CBS actually sat on this story for five days before deciding to "officially" report it.

Keep in mind that habitual Hollywood-loser Charlie Sheen's latest foray into chemically-induced colossal stupidity attracted more media attention than Lindberg's arrival in Paris; yet, a sexual attack on a CBS news correspondent by a mob in Egypt was all but ignored ... that is, until other news outlets finally started talking about it, forcing CBS to finally acknowledge it.

But Egypt is a Muslim country. And there are narratives that need to be crafted and nurtured. There is an American President to prop up, and moral equivalencies to maintain.

The crowd that attacked Logan was characterized as a friendly one, a democracy-hungry gathering, with freedom on their minds and societal change in their sights - exactly the narrative the American lamestream media wanted. CBS even went as far as to say that Lara Logan was covering "jubilation" and "celebration" when she was attacked.

Well, thank goodness for that.

Perhaps it was inevitable that amidst the rifling through of raw footage from the protests, trying to compile as many "Obama is great!" and "Thank God for Obama" soundbites as they could find - of which there ultimately were none - the powers-that-be at CBS decided that they might actually have to report a story of evil-doings in a Muslim land.

That's what this is all about.

And don't give me that "protecting the privacy of the victim" angle as a counter-argument.

What? All of a sudden we are to believe that the dirty-laundry-loving mainstream media, willing to sell out their own grandmothers for a juicy scoop, were suddenly - magically - overcome with a bout of ethics?

(See that bridge over there?)

For those who would say that what happened to Logan has absolutely no business being reported by the news media, I would ask: If a CBS news correspondent were attacked by just ONE person at a Tea Party rally, would you feel exactly the same way?

"Crash the Tea Party" -Update

Thinking of disguising himself as someone who loves his country.

Remember last week, we looked at the effort of one individual to foment distrust and hatred for the "Tea Patries" by encouraging liberals to basically go out and be themselves, but pretend they were tea partiers while doing so?

"Whenever possible, we will act on behalf of the Tea Party in ways which exaggerate their least appealing qualities (misspelled protest signs, wild claims in TV interviews, etc.) to further distance them from mainstream America and damage the public's opinion of them. We will also use the inside information we have gained in order to disrupt and derail their plans."

Well, good news for liberals! Jason Levin, the man behind the website, is going to have more time on his hands to pursue his weaselly, deceptive brand of liberal politics (but then, I repeat myself!).

It seems that Jason is on administrative leave from the school where he teaches (a good teacher's union member no doubt!) while he is being investigated for possible misuse of school resources to further his political vendetta against conservatives.

An Oregon teacher who announced his intention to "dismantle and demolish the Tea Party" has been placed on administrative leave until his school district finishes its investigation into whether his political activity crossed the line.

The state's Teacher Standards & Practices Commission is also conducting an investigation into Jason Levin, a media teacher at Conestoga Middle School in Beaverton.

...The school district is defending Levin's right to free speech, but it's investigating whether he used district computers to spread his political message or worked on his "Crash the Tea Party" Web site during school hours.

Okay. That's a "No, no". The school's policy is very explicit on this point. (In Levin's defense, maybe he can't read! )

"The Beavertown School District rules involving teacher use of the district's electronic system clearly state: The district's electronic communications system shall be used for educational purposes consistent with the district's mission, priorities and beliefs. Educational purposes do not include commercial use, use for personal financial gain or political advocacy."

"Political advocacy" I don't know. My recent experience with liberals is that they have trouble with words of one syllable or less! He very well just couldn't comprehend the meaning of the words!

Levin has said he would seek to embarrass Tea Partiers by attending their rallies dressed as Adolf Hitler, carrying signs bearing racist, sexist and anti-gay epithets and acting as offensively as possible -- anything short of throwing punches. In a recent interview with Talking Points Memo, Levin said of his plans, "Our goal is that whenever a Tea Partier says 'Barack Obama was not born in America,' we're going be right there next to them saying, 'Yeah, in fact he wasn't born on Earth! He's an alien!'"

What is it with the Left's fascination with Hitler? So, the guy is an obnoxious @ssclown who squandered an opportunity to educate young minds in favor of lying, deceit and libels on a strictly partisan basis. So? Right now he only appears like any number of pathetic Internet trolls who cannot win an argument based on facts, logic or intellect and therefore fall back on dishonesty and deceit. Maybe a little stupider than most Internet trolls (if such a thing is even possible!), but just as dishonest! Nothing new there! But, wait! There's more!

In a now deleted post on his "Crash the Tea Party" Web site, he called on his supporters to collect the Social Security numbers -- among other personal identifying information -- about as many Tea Party supporters as possible at the numerous rallies that took place on Thursday, Tax Day.

"Some other thoughts are to ask people at the rally to sign a petition renouncing socialism. See just how much info you can get from these folks (name address, DOB, Social Security #). The more data we can mine from the Tea Partiers, the more mayhem we can cause with it!!!!" he wrote.

Mayhem??? You mean like identity theft? Invading peoples' privacy by peeking into their financial records, like good liberals did to Michael Steele when he was a candidate in Virginia? Maybe taking steps to cause them financial troubles? Oh, yeah! This guy is a peach! He would never dream of throwing a punch at you (probably because he is a coward and too afraid you might punch back!) But he has no problem skulking in the dark, causing "mayhem" in your life by stealing your Social Security number! What a guy!

I'm thinking: "Teacher of the Year!"

The state agency is investigating whether this is a hint at identity theft, and whether it is appropriate behavior for a public school teacher. It also will investigate charges that Levin used school computers during school hours to work on his Web site. Levin teaches 6th, 7th and 8th graders about computers and technology.

Mr. Levin (no relation to Mark!): Enjoy your fifteen minutes of fame and your time off work (unpaid, I would hope!). But, after an appropriate investigation, you are found guilty of the charges brought against you, it would not hurt my heart to know that you were unemployed or even sharing a cell with someone equal to you in moral character. Maybe you could learn a new trade commensurate with your morality? Or you could just make license plates!

Sacramento Tax Day Tea Party, III -The Asps in our Bosom

As I alluded to in another place, there was a small smattering of dissent and disruption at our gathering. One fellow charged the stage, shouting mindlessly "Give me my freedom", or more properly: "GIVE ME MY FREEDOM!". Nothing else, just shouting the same phrase over and over, while he interrupted the speech and the First Amendment rights of a man who knew something about escaping to freedom and was contributing to its care and feeding.

Ironically, the mindless twit, whatever his ideology might have been, crazed fanatic or flying a faux flag, was handcuffed, wrestled off the stage and taken into custody, where whatever freedom he had in the morning was greatly decreased by mid afternoon!

In addition, there was one, slightly scruffy guy in a plaid shirt, wearing a back pack, who calmly walked through the crowd, holding aloft his "Obama in '08" sign.
Great! All you time travelers among us, this is your chance to go back and make history! Or, as one sign alluded to:

"The Obama administration is the beginning of a new chapter in American history: Chapter thirteen!"

The fellow pictured above seemed peaceful enough when I saw him towards the end of the rally, but must have done something to attract the attention of a least three sign bearing volunteers who may have deterred him from any further disruptions. Maybe he was just videoing the singer because he was too cheap to pay the $.99 at iTunes?

Early in the rally, there was one woman holding up a sign about ObamaCare, that might have been for it, but she was too far away for me to see that for sure. So, even counting her in the "enemy camp"*, that would make four counter protesters in a crowd of thousands.

And speaking of "counter protests", I saw on the news where some libs had organized a "coffee party" to "counteract" the Tea Party. The video was of a sidewalk bistro where it looked like there could have been a dozen people total. So, even if every one of them was there for the protest and not just the coffee, then the "counter protest" was a riotous success! (and will be counted as twelve jobs saved or created in Labor Department statistics!)

The crowd was well behaved. No racial slurs were shouted. In fact, one of the speakers, Larry Elder, a black talk show host from southern California, opened his remarks with the joke "Good afternoon, fellow racists!"

It was a mixed crowd, young and old, whites, blacks, Latinos and Asians. White collar, blue collar, and no collar people were there. I saw vets from four different wars: Iraq, Korea, Viet Nam and WWII.

I saw a lot of people, some of whom, like myself, had taken off work to attend, others traveled long distances to be there. And everyone I spoke to was concerned about the direction the country was taken. And despite the canard that the "Tea Party" is either owned by or a subsidiary of the Republican Party, there was dissatisfaction with and words plainly spoken that simply having an "R" after one's name will not garner these people's vote.

It seems as though there are a lot of people who would like to co-opt the Tea Party. There are some Republicans who would like to take them for granted. I saw at least one RonPaulian at the rally with a sign that seemed to indicate that Ron Paul would be happy to run to the front of the movement and yell "Follow me!".

As has been said in another place, there are libertarians in the movement who might like to co-opt it for their own ends. There may even be a smattering (though by no means a majority) who entertain the notion that the Tea Party could become a viable third party. (They cannot.) But, the reason that so many people want to co-opt the Tea Party, is that the Tea Party is a force to be reckoned with. It is a grass roots movement, not Astro-turf manufactured by some Axelrod on the Right. It is composed of people passionate for the Constitution and the Rule of Law. People who are fed up with politicians who say they do not care what the Constitution says about any particular law they might enact. People are fed up with politicians governing againt the will of the people.

And that's why the liberals have their undies in a twist about them. That's why they fear them. Progressieve policies do not withstand sunlight well. Between now and November, there's going to be quite a lot of light shed on the actions of this administration and the liberal cockroaches are going to be scurrying for cover.

To no avail.


*Please consult a dictionary if this word is unfamiliar to you. Hint: It is not short for "campaign"!

Ann Coulter and the Tea Party Express: Henderson Pt. 3

In this segment, we'll look at some of the people who spoke at the Tea Party Express rally and a little of what they said.

Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, candidate running against Barbara Boxer (and others) for a California senate seat, showed up with a bit of a stem winder. Sounds like he's got the fire in the belly. We'll see if he survives the primary.

Wayne Allyn Root, onetime Libertarian vice presidential candidate was there. I believe it was he who alluded to a story from New York, that OTB (Off Track Betting) was going bankrupt there. He then reminded us of when the Federal government took over management of the highly profitable Mustang Ranch and bankrupted it within a year.
He made the point that if the government can't make money with prostitution (legal in Nevada) and gambling, what hope did we have that they could run health care at a profit?

I believe it was he who also dubbed Obama, Reid and Pelosi: "The Axis of Taxes"

Root graduated from Columbia the same year as Barack Obama. He related the anecdote that he was in a poly-sci class the day Reagan was shot. At the premature news, "Reagan's been assassinated", he said that the reaction was "Cheers and high fives".

Off the stage, tea partiers gladly modeled their protest wear. It was not unusual to see someone "strike a pose" so that someone else could take their picture. One I thought was clever:

"Seven out of ten terrorists prefer the New York Times.
...The other three can't read!"

Saturday Night Live alum, Victoria Jackson was there singing about a "Communist in the White House". She says, "I have a master's degree in Obamunism."

And Andrew Breitbart gave an impassioned speech of the deceitful, egg throwing, scum sucking liberals at the Searchlight affair (my words, not his). If your mind is not totally closed, you can hear his account on that here.

I'm leaving out a few people. Thousands attended. Dozens spoke. Thousands listened.

All in all, it was a good trip. I came back home with a small Gadsden flag and a lot of memories. Didn't meet up with everyone there I thought I would, but the year's still young. Maybe there'll be another tea party in the offing I can get to?
