Taylor Swift Topless? (SFW)

There's a picture circulating out on the Web that is allegedly Taylor Swift, topless.

First of all, I'm not really sure that's Taylor Swift and she's not even holding that guitar!

H/T The Jawa Report

What's the Motivation for All of the Sudden Sexual Allegations Against Herman Cain?

Unless you've been in a come for the last twenty four to forty eight hours, you've heard something of the allegations of a sexual nature against Herman Cain. Now, one might expect it is simply the product of being a front runner. One of Cain's opponents is afraid of him rising in the polls and takes a preemptive swing at the front runner in order to drag him down. But, I think there might be something else in play.

Most Democrats have become disenchanted with Barack Obama. They long for the days of Bill Clinton in the White House. Maybe this is a concerted effort to make Cain look more like Clinton?
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Maybe a Karl Rove/James Carvillesque campaign strategist figured that the Hermanator would appeal to Democrats more if he had a little more of Clinton's bad boy in him?

Obama is a lost cause. No one would ever believe that he would cheat on Michelle! Not if he knows what's good for him! Michelle's got him by at least twenty pounds, and with those "well toned upper arms" everyone's always talking about, she would beat him within an inch of his life! Besides, not only does she have his "family jewels" locked away in her jewelry box, but she has the look and the reputation of someone you do not want to cross!

Obama might ogle the girls' butts, but Herman is the one with the twinkle in his eye who doesn't need a teleprompter to chat up the ladies. And Mitt?? Mitt wouldn't even cheat on his taxes! Yeah. I'm thinking it's Bad Boy Herman Cain they're marketing in 2012.

"Longing for the days of Bill Clinton? I've got your Bill Clinton right here!"

Mr. Cain: I am available to write your campaign copy for you. But don't wait too long! The Huntsman campaign is in need of some sweet, sweet scandal. Or some NO-DOZ®...

Wonder Woman (1979)

The Muddled Mindset of the Mob

Over at Brutally Honest, there's an essay on some of the "good people" involved in the Occupy movement. One of the "good people" was a lady pastor from Southern California. And a former (we can only hope) if not present, Obama supporter. But, then, let's let her say it:

The people have finally arrived at the place where they are saying, "Enough!" They are making strong statements that are definitive; closing accounts at Bank of America because they are tired of the banksters charging us to use our own money.

"Banksters." Catch that? That oh, so clever way she equates "bankers" with gangsters". I wonder if she thought that up herself or is just repeating it because she thinks it's cute?

Here's something for you to ponder, Pastor Sue: "the labourer is worthy of his hire" -Luke 10:7
The bank provides a service to its customers. Should they do this for free? There is overhead associated with giving you access to your own money. No one is forcing you to put your money in their bank. Keep it in a coffee can in the back yard, or stuffed under your mattress if you like. And if you're on vacation and run short of cash, just run home and get some more!

The fee that's got Pastor Sue's choir robe in a bunch, is the response to the micromanaging of the banks by Congress. A fee that they used to charge to retailers was reduced by Congress, and the banks, who need to make a profit to keep the doors open, pay the tellers and bookkeepers and building maintenance people, the utility companies, the printers, the sign makers, pay for the buildings the furnishings, the slightly larger coffee cans they keep your cash in, and the "free" coffee they serve in the lobby...all those things, and more! Are the people who build and service ATM machines, the data entry people who keep track of your account, the people who answer the phones (yeah, yeah...after "press one for English"), are they not entitled to be paid for what they do?

Or instead of boycotting the banks, maybe Pastor Sue and her friends can pool their money and start their own bank? They can hire lawyers to help them navigate all the state, federal and local regulations, rent or buy a building, pay all those salaries the staff requires...oh, I forgot! This is a volunteer bank! Scratch the salaries! And then, after they have done all this, they can offer free access to their depositors' money, at no charge, twenty four/seven. Assuming they can get any depositors. After all, how are they going to pay any kind of interest if they can't charge for any of their services? And why would anyone want to deposit their money in a bank with no ATMs, that pays no interest and a limited number of locations (1).

Let me know how that works out for y'all as a business model!

#OccupyAnarchy: What Lawlessness Breeds

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Wall Street protesters in Zuccotti Park battened down the hatches yesterday as the early October snow turned their tents into igloos, but the close quarters also made easy pickings for one predator. A sex fiend barged into a woman’s tent and sexually assaulted her at around 6 a.m., said protesters, who chased him from the park.

“Pervert! Pervert! Get the f--k out!” said vigilante Occupiers, who never bothered to call the cops. “They were shining flashlights in his face and yelling at him to leave,” said a woman who called herself Leslie, but refused to give her real name.

She said that weeks earlier another woman was raped. “We don’t tell anyone,” she said. “We handle it internally. I said too much already.”

With all the free loaders, free lovers, free Mumia's, free lunchers and free thinkers populating the OccupyAnarchy movement, which many on the Left hope to be the anti-Tea Party, one gets the impression that one thing the ReOccupyTheWhiteHouse movement doesn't need is more bad press, so there seems to be a conscious effort to keep these kinds of attacks quiet and sweep them under a rug.

Granted, the Occupy movement has spawned a "volunteer" security force of dubious origin and efficacy: part mob, part vigilante justice. But they have neither police powers or training. And, rather than pursuing a sexual predator until he is caught and deterred from repeating his offense, he is merely chased off to continue his perverse felonies again, either at another "occupied" area of the park or in society at large.

First, I think this sends a bad message about the OccupyAnarchy view of women. "Ladies: Lay back and enjoy it. Women who are assaulted or raped should be seen and not heard." In a rational world (not the protesters' strong suit), how would it not benefit everyone for every woman raped or assaulted to give a statement to the police and a description of the perpetrator so that the criminal can be apprehended? Is the movement so inured and enamored of breaking whatever laws they choose, that they empathize with other lawbreakers, no matter how odious?

We have seen the Occupy Anarchists disrespect the police, one man infamously defecating on a patrol car, and attacking the police and even rioting in some places. Compare and contrast with the Tea Party rallies. There was a police presence there, but the only incidents I observed or am aware of, involving the police at a Tea Party rally, was when a small element of miscreants from the Left showed up to protest against the Tea Partiers, to shout them down, or damage property.

There were no tents, no soup lines and above all, no rapes, sexual assaults, refusals to obey police orders or assaults on police officers.

Is OccupyAnarchy the Left's version of the Tea Party? It's looking like it. Will OccupyAnarchy motivate anyone to vote Democrat next Fall? Well, I think they can count on the rapist and sexual predator vote!

Occupy Madison Loses Permit Because Protesters were "Publicly Masturbating"

Any chance they were in a circle??

Once again, I feel the need to point out that members of the Tea Party never did anything like this. Occupy Madison has temporarily been denied an extension in their protesting permit because members of the movement violated "public health and safety conditions." The group also did not properly fill out the form. City officials cited several specific reasons for their decision. The most notable was repeated complains from a nearby hotel, which stated that protesters were "publicly masturbating" in full view of passersby. The city also cited health violations because the group had "no restrooms," implying that the protesters may have been defecating in public as well.

VIDEO: Peter Schiff Debates Zucotti Park Occupy Wall Streeters

Crossposted at the Left Coast Rebel

This is simply just too cool. You can almost hear the collective "Occupy-I-am-entitled-to-everything-I-want-simply-because-I-have-a-pulse" synapses misfiring in the crowd as Peter Schiff engages them (poor saps have probably never even heard his viewpoint that he aptly expresses).

There are too many quotable moments from Schiff here, "WalMart doesn't hold a gun to their head" may just go down in interweb infamy:

I love how Allahpundit notes that Schiff pulls this thing off like an Austrian-school ninja.

Indeed.

More from Nick Gillespie at Reason.com:

"Did a corporation end slavery, or did the government end slavery?!?!"

That's the sort of question investment guru and radio show host Peter Schiff fielded as he debated Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protesters last week in New York's Zuccotti Park.

Schiff is no ordinary observer. As the prinicipal of the financial firm Euro Pacific Capital, he's a full-fledged and unapologetic member of "the 1 Percent." As an outspoken radio show host (listen online here) and commentator, he not only predicted the housing crash and financial crisis, he railed bank and auto-sector bailouts as they were happening. Schiff believes that capitalism offers is the only hope for young, frustrated people to have a vibrant and prosperous future (get information on his latest book, How an Economy Grows and Why it Crashes, here). So he went to Occupy Wall Street to engage and debate the protesters.

Touring the Occupy Wall Street scene in New York with a sign that read "I Am the 1%, Let's Talk," Schiff spent more than three hours on the scene, explaining the difference between cronyism and capitalism, bailouts and balance sheets, and more.

"The regulation we want is the market," said Schiff. "That's what works."

Occupy Portland Fears it has Lost up to $20,000 in Donations

What is it they say? "There's no honor among thieves!"

Organizers of Occupy Portland say they fear as much as $20,000 donated to the group through a PayPal account has disappeared. They also say the group's finance committee has hijacked the demonstration's Internet domain name and filed for incorporation against the wishes of the group's decision-making body.

Decision making body. Yeah, the "general assembly" (some assembly required). So, the individual protesters are getting their stuff ripped off around the country, some occupiers are more equal than others when it comes to "spreading the wealth", and now we have factions fighting over the name of the movement and the internet address where the goodies flow from.

It's like watching one of those Mad Max movies, except, instead of a post war apocalyptic break down of societal norms, we have a group of malcontents who were in the process of rebelling against societal norms when thieves, other criminals and the homeless started agreeing with them.

Welcome to Anarchy 101. Other than "Eat the rich" and "Forgive my student loans", there is little cohesion to these ranks of rank amateurs and ranker political noobs. If one wants to siphon off cash and another wants to take control of your Internet domain name, who's to stop them? And if the "general assembly" of Portland decides to act contrary to a decision of occupy Wall Street's general assembly, who decides who is right? These people can't even manage a bread line without drama, resentment and the type of acrimony generally reserved for Glenn Beck! The food police were even raising their own posse comitatus to chase off the vagrants and others deemed not politically pure enough to receive of the occupiers' largesse.

The longer this "movement" continues, the more fractious it will become. Will they legislate their own rules? Adjudicate their own laws? Enforce their own punishments?

Good luck with that! Anger against the unfair treatment and injustice from the establishment will be replaced with anger against the unfair treatment and injustice from the leaders of the movement. The hardcore homeless and the charlatans gaming the system will stay. Eventually, I think the majority will realize that it is easier to reform the old system than to build a new one from scratch.

Occupy Wall Street Kitchen Staff Protesting Fixing Food for Freeloaders

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
No soup for you!

Irony (and hypocrisy) Alert! It's getting harder to tell the homeless drifters and grifters apart from the whiny yuppie protesters!

The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff
launched a “counter” revolution yesterday -- because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless” people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters.

For three days beginning tomorrow, the cooks will serve only brown rice and other spartan grub instead of the usual menu of organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, and roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad.

"Organic chicken and vegetables, spaghetti bolognese, roasted beet and sheep’s-milk-cheese salad..." This is the idea of "roughing it" among the 99% who have it tough?? And then to think that common people who are merely homeless or maybe just released from jail might consider themselves as part of the 99% who are not the country's wealthiest individuals...where on earth would they get that idea?

As the kitchen workers met with the "General Assembly" last night, about 300 demonstrators stormed from the park to Reade Street and Broadway, where they violently clashed with cops

The "General Assembly"? Who do these guys think they are? The U freakin' N??? Already elements of #OccupyMom'sBasement are coming apart at the seams. How do you equally distribute, (share the wealth, if you will), all the money donated by Soros and others to keep Obama@OccupyWhiteHouse afloat? Why does one group get to watch movies on a "huge flat screen TV" purchased with the community's cash, while others scrounge for quarters to do tons of wet laundry? And now, poachers in the food lines.

The bourgeois roots of the Occupy Wall Street mobocracy are nowhere more apparent than here. Yes, they carry their iphones and laptops down to the protest against the mean and evil corporations, except for the ones they can't live without, and they sit in front of the banks that loaned them the money to get their Ivy League educations, like the ingrates you'd expect them to be. But as much as they like to say they represent 99% of the country, just make sure they're PLU (people like us). Why is that? Is not the homeless guy part of the 99%? Does he get a vote in how the "community's" money is spent? If not, then, why not?

Organizers took other steps to police the squatters, who they said were lured in from other parks with the promise of free meals. A team of 10 security volunteers moved in to the trouble-prone southwest section of Zuccotti Park in a show of force to confront them. “We’re not going to let some members of this community destroy the whole movement,” a volunteer said.

Hey! Here's a thought...why not issue a photo ID??? More than a faint whiff of hypocrisy (masked, no doubt by a myriad of other more unpleasant odors) at #Occupy Wall Street, et. al.

I just saw over at Flopping Aces, a post called: "Bill Maher- biggest hypocrite in the universe". And it got me to thinking...who IS the biggest hypocrite in the universe? I had just read a story about Michael Moore pretending he's not rich, but one of the "99%" protesting against the rich. Oh, and he also calls his propaganda "documentaries". Hypocrite.

Or Al Gore, preaching energy abstinence while being the crazed sex poodle of energy consumption, making himself wealthy with his global warming "schtick". Hypocrite.

Or Barack Obama, preaching transparency and calling for civility while holding closed door policy meetings, making partisan attacks and calling for Republicans to pass a bill that hadn't even been written yet. Hypocrite.

Sergeant First Class Gary Lee Littrell

Citation:

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Sfc. Littrell, U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, Advisory Team 21, distinguished himself while serving as a Light Weapons Infantry Advisor with the 23d Battalion, 2d Ranger Group, Republic of Vietnam Army, near Dak Seang. After establishing a defensive perimeter on a hill on April 4, the battalion was subjected to an intense enemy mortar attack which killed the Vietnamese commander, 1 advisor, and seriously wounded all the advisors except Sfc. Littrell. During the ensuing 4 days, Sfc Littrell exhibited near superhuman endurance as he single-handedly bolstered the besieged battalion. Repeatedly abandoning positions of relative safety, he directed artillery and air support by day and marked the unit's location by night, despite the heavy, concentrated enemy fire. His dauntless will instilled in the men of the 23d Battalion a deep desire to resist. Assault after assault was repulsed as the battalion responded to the extraordinary leadership and personal example exhibited by Sfc. Littrell as he continuously moved to those points most seriously threatened by the enemy, redistributed ammunition, strengthened faltering defenses, cared for the wounded and shouted encouragement to the Vietnamese in their own language. When the beleaguered battalion was finally ordered to withdraw, numerous ambushes were encountered. Sfc. Littrell repeatedly prevented widespread disorder by directing air strikes to within 50 meters of their position. Through his indomitable courage and complete disregard for his safety, he averted excessive loss of life and injury to the members of the battalion. The sustained extraordinary courage and selflessness displayed by Sfc. Littrell over an extended period of time were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit on him and the U.S. Army.

Sfc. Littrell: We humbly salute you and thank you for your service.

Barack Obama, Chickenhawk?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

If there's one thing we know about the Left, it's their consistency and dedication to principle. (Stop laughing!) And so it struck me as odd, that I have not heard any on the Left calling President Obama a "chickenhawk". You know, someone who didn't serve in the military but is all in favor of sending others to fight.

Now, I know the military has lawyers, but I don't think they have community organizers, so I'm pretty sure that Barry didn't serve in uniform. And to what extent has Obama favored sending others to fight? In addition to maintaining troops in Iraq and Afghanistan for the last three years, Barry O has sent troops into Pakistan, bombed Libya and sent military "advisers" to Uganda, and utilized fighter aircraft and drones in Yemen.

Now, realistically, if this were a Republican President with the same lack of military service, don't you think we'd be hearing the "C" word every day? But Obama's followers, rather than berating him as a "chickenhawk", are praising him for "his" military accomplishments. The cretins who hate the military, march in the anti-war demonstrations, and protest "torture" and the lack of prisoner's due process at Gitmo (which Obama promised to close and hasn't) , are bragging about Obama's "kills".

What's with the sudden blood lust among liberals? They get their undies in a bunch if we pour water on the face of terrorists, but if you shoot them in the face or pour hellfire from the sky in the form of a Predator drone, they wet themselves trying to give Obama all the credit. And in the case of Qadhafi, the Obamabots are waving their foam fingers in the air (carved, no doubt, from Obama's phony Styrofoam Greek columns) giving credit to Obama for what the rebels have done (without a trial or "due process", we might note).

In short, the one thing that is consistent about liberals is their hypocrisy. Nearly all of the complaints made against Bush in Iraq could have been made against Clinton in the Balkans, but weren't. Nearly all of the complaints made against Bush in Iraq could have been made against Obama for the last three years, and crickets chirp in the anti-war Left.

Where's Cindy Sheehan when you really need her? Doonesbury?? Nightline??? Beuller????

The Lesser of Two Evils is Still... A Crock of Muddled Thinking

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I saw it again today.
"If you vote for "X" over Obama, you're just choosing the 'lesser of two evils'. And the lesser of two evils is still evil."

I mostly hear it about Ron Paul, usually delivered in a vaguely smug and condescending tone. "X" is only different in degree from Obama, (in this area or that) therefore if you vote for anyone but "Y", you are choosing evil."

This facile argument is deeply flawed. It takes a statement which is true and weds it in unholy matrimony to an assumption which may be (and generally is) completely false, but the true statement gives it some semblance of truth.

While it is true that when you choose the lesser of two actual evils, you are choosing evil, it does not follow that every time you choose between a lesser and a greater good, that any of your choices are evil.

Voltaire, pointed that "The perfect (or the better) is the enemy of the good." If you reject everything or everyone that isn't perfect, you reject all (or in the case of the Paulites, nearly all). If you compare candidates on a scale of one hundred where one hundred is the perfect conservative and President Zero is, by some coincidence, zero, maybe your candidate comes in at an eighty five, but that doesn't mean that the other candidates, who may only come in in the seventies or low eighties, are "evil". That is a mere verbal "sleight of hand", where one directs your attention away from what is real and shows you what one wants you to see.

Please banish the "lesser of two evils" argument from your discussions. It only muddles the very important discussion of which of the flawed* individuals running for President, on both sides, will be the greater good for our nation. He or she, I guarantee you, will not be perfect.

I intend to vote for the person who will bring greater good to this country. Part of the ability to bring this greater good, is the ability to get elected first. A "perfect" candidate who cannot get elected can sit on the sidelines for four years and say, "See? I told you so!", but that will not stop the harm being done to the republic in the meantime.

The perfect is the enemy of the good. Those who call "evil" that which is not evil are enemies of the good as well.

World Ends Again Today!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

As the Official Blog of the End of the World™, I said,
As the Official Blog of the End of the World™, we'll keep you posted on October 21st.

So far, so good. Well, not good for Mr. Camping, who has hit the proverbial three strikes and you're out, but for the rest of us!

On his Family Radio Network website, Camping noted that Doomsday predicting is not easy.

"There's a lot of things that we didn't have quite right, and that's God's good provision," he says. "I really am beginning to think, as I restudy these matters, that there's going to be no big display of any kind. The end is going to come very, very quietly, probably within the next month. It will happen, that is, by Oct. 21."

After May 21 came and went, Camping -- who blamed a similar 1994 misfire on a math error -- did readjust his assessment by saying "God's judgment" was completed on that day, and the final sword would fall today.

"Thus we can be sure that the whole world, with the exception of those who are presently saved (the elect), are under the judgment of God, and will be annihilated together with the whole physical world on Oct. 21," he says.

So, he made his first prediction in '94. We didn't see the End of the World, but we did suffer through Bill Clinton, which was more of a localized disaster!

Camping, not willing to finally admit that "no man knows the hour of the Lord's return", figured that just his "math" might have been off. (We'll put Camping in the Barbie™ school of "Math is hard" prognosticators.)

And again, after the End of the World failed to materialize when he predicted it again for May 21, he'd convinced a number of people of the certainty of that date, and they, like adventists of old, who dressed in white robes and sat on the mountaintops waiting for end to come, sold everything they had to spread the word. After all, what need would you have for material possessions after the world ends? Quite logical, given your presupposition.

But, they presupposed wrong. Now if Camping had just been some codger sitting on his front porch rocker (than than being off it), telling you about the date the world will end, you might have said something like, "Bless his heart!" But Camping had access to a large, and otherwise faithful, Christian broadcast network. I do not want to judge Mr. Camping, but the Good Book says, "By their fruits, ye shall know them." It also says that "Pride goeth before destruction..." Pride can be very insidious. If you genuinely thought that you were the only man in recorded history to ever figure out this great mystery, which God himself proclaimed would not be known unto any man, it would be very, very difficult not to be affected by pride in some way, shape or form.

But, instead, celebrate! This is the day the Lord hath made, and you are alive to see it! And there are people today who will draw their last breath, and to them, it will be indistinguishable from the end of the world. And I believe that is the point. Live every day as if it were your last, because one day, it will be true.

More End of the World stuff here.

Don't Bother Listening to Anything This Administration Says

Because, to do that, you'd have to focus on their words.

Clueless Joe Biden made the statement that if Republicans didn't sign Obama's massive spending bill, that rapes and murders would increase.

About 1:16 into the "I'm spinning as fast as I can" conference, Carney makes a novel argument:
"Don't focus on the words."
What?? A government official makes a statement, but we're not supposed to "focus on the words"? What should we focus on, then? Joe's frowny face???

Biden said there was a direct correlation between passing Obama's bill, which provides funding for police officers for one year only, with increases in rape and murder. Shall we accuse Obama and Biden of wanting rape, murder and other crimes to increase a year from now? It would make as much sense.

Remember when Bill Clinton promised 100,000 new cops on the streets? A study in 2000 determined that there was a net increase of between 69,000 and 84,600 officers*. That was due in part to the fact that many municipalities did not want to hire officers they could not afford to pay and would have to lay off twelve months later. Putting aside the fact that the responsibility for hiring police and teachers is with local jurisdictions and not the federal government, it would be better to block grant the money to education and law enforcement without so many strings attached. Why would Barry and Joe have so many strings attached? Do they not want policemen to be hired? Do they want rape and murder to increase??? BTW, don't focus on the words here, just focus on the narrative I'm putting forth. Simple facts, don'tcha know?

And where is Obama going to get the federal money to pay for all these cops? Borrow it? Raise taxes, skim some off the top and return it to the people who paid the taxes, so that they end up with fewer cops than they could have afforded had the feds not intervened?

I recently heard what ought to have been a well educated woman say that she thought the government should "pay for more things" than it does already. But the government doesn't have any money of its own to spend. They either take it from someone through taxation, or print it, which makes everyone's money worth less (which is just another way of taking it), or borrow it, which means taking more money from people later to pay the principle with interest (or inflation, paying it back in inflated dollars, or both).

If I may "focus on his words" for a moment, it is despicable demagoguery for Biden to use such inflammatory language for cheap partisan political gains. Back when the Hypocrite-in-Chief was at least making a pretense in calling for more civility, could you have imagined that in just a few short months, his running mate would be accusing people of wanting rape and murder to rise, just because they disagree on how law enforcement might be funded?

Or is it demagoguery for Obama to put a smattering of good things into a terrible spending bill, that he has little desire in passing, that would further cripple the economy if it did pass, simply to have a political club to beat his opponents over the head with, rather than genuinely working to some the plight of the jobless in America?

Just look for the liberal label...

*For a realistic estimate of their effectiveness, divide that number by fifty states and three shifts in a 24 hour day (because crime doesn't sleep). Using the maximum figure, that's an average of 564 cops per state on any given shift. And that makes a difference, sure. But somehow not matching the high sounding rhetoric of "100,000 cops".

Is Romney "Misleading"? -Perry ad (video)

Aside from the lawn care kerfluffle, there seem to be many contradictions by Romney as to whether Romneycare was the model for Obamacare. (It was. Mitt used to brag about it.) And whether or not Mitt advocated Romneycare or its equivalent for the entire country. (He did. Now he's running from that position.)

If anyone thinks I may be breaking Reagan's "eleventh commandment", just consider that this video and more even worse, no doubt, will be used by the opposition in 2012, should Mitt become our standard bearer. The primaries are a time for vetting. Let's vet our candidate this time around, so we don't have a repeat of 2008.

A Little Thursday Afternoon Humor

This first joke I heard on the radio last night, barreling up I-5:

Q) "How do you starve an Obama supporter?"

A) "Hide his food stamps under his work boots."

The second just comes from sleep deprivation (and a touch of Michael Ramirez):

Q) "What do you get when you put a Kenyan, with a North Korean jobs plan, on a Canadian bus?"

A) "I don't know either, but what made you think of Obama?"

Warning: This Campaign May be Toxic to Your Political Health

Earlier this month, Claire McCaskill (D- Not the Sharpest Knife in the Drawer), disappeared with "prior commitments" (like getting re-elected) when Obama came to visit St. Louis. In Virginia and North Carolina, Democrats like Tim Kaine, former Democratic National Committee chairman and governor, Democratic state Sen. Phil Puckett, were running away as well.

In September, Democratic state Sen. Phil Puckett distanced himself from Obama after his Republican challenger started calling him "Obama's man in southwest Virginia". In southwest Virginia, House Minority Leader Ward Armstrong is having a tough political fight. One of his solutions? Stay away from Barack Obama,.

Sometimes, in politics, they talk about a politician's "coattails", how a lesser candidate can be carried into office by virtue of the fact that the top of the ticket was strong enough to draw votes for other members of the same party. More rarely, they talk about "reverse coattails", where a poor candidate drags others in his party to defeat.

Democrat politicians fear Barack's coattails in 2012. As well they should.
